Chapter 3: Home

WE GET in the car and start to drive off. Everyone came outside to say good bye. Except no one said bye, they all gave me a sneer; All, except Zendaya.

"Bye girl! Text me when you get there!" she said.

"God I will miss you!" I unbuckle my seatbelt and give her one last hug before we drive away.

"So what do you want to eat, Aria?" Alesa asks on the way up.

"Something with real food."

"I think I have something in mind." He tells me.

We get to the drive through of a place called Arby's and order a roast beef sandwich. They watch me take my first bite of reality.

"Mm... this is good!" I say in a mouth full of sandwich.

"I'm glad you like it!" They say.

On the drive up, I look out of the window overlooking some trees and the lake with the sun set in between the mountains.

"It's an amazing night tonight." I say.

"Yah, it is." Adam says and looks at Alesa.

"We never get this at the orphanage." I whisper.

We enter the driveway and park the car. I hop out of the car and look out at the lake.

"This is beautiful!" I exclaim.

"Thanks! This is your new home; I have my old roommate living with us. So you are the lucky one and get the loft room!" Adam says.

"Oh cool!" I say.

We enter the house and 3 dogs come running up to us and pound into me.

"That's Milton, that one is Bailey, and the pitbull is Rascal." Adam says and points accordingly, holding in a laugh.

"They're... so... cute! *gasp*" I struggle to say as the air inside me was being sucked out. We walk inside and Chat for a bit. I tell them more about me and they told me more about them.

"I'm going to bed soon. do you know where the loft is?"

"Ya! Upstairs, first door to the right! It just has a bed for now, we can worry about paint and things later." Alesa says.

"Ok! Thanks!" I ran up stairs and saw the room.

It was bigger than my other room and had more space to put things. I might enjoy it after all.
