There was something about him that compelled you.

You wanted to come close to the man, but you remembered the warnings your parents had given you.

Do not talk or dance with strangers.

Jealousy ran through your veins as you watched glamorous ladies crowd around him, caressing his arms or even touching his chest. "I would love to have a dance with you, my lord," they said. You stared at those ladies and wished you were them.

You felt the urge to compose yourself.

You walked away from your spot while politely declining invitations to dance from other gentlemen.

You finally reached the balcony. The cool breeze calmed you down as a sigh escaped your lips. You stared at the city down below, noticing the lights are shining brightly in the dark.

You have come to clear your head, but the images of the mysterious man fill your mind.

He was the most handsome one in the ballroom. His silky smooth black hair, pale skin, a voice that sends a shivering sensation down your spine. But what interests you the most were his shimmering golden eyes.

"Dear God, It's freezing outside! You will catch a cold, my dear."

You whipped your head to the source of the voice.

It was him.

Your eyes widened as he continued to walk toward you. "May I?" The man took off his coat, ready to put it on your shoulders. You nodded. He then wrapped the coat around you, making sure you are warm and cozy in the cool weather.

"......Thank you." You whispered as the strict warning struck your mind again.

"That's alright. I can't stand a beautiful lady like you getting sick after this party." The man looked into your eyes and stood in front of you.

Heat crawled up your cheeks as he smiled. His voice made you shiver. You gazed at his rare golden eyes, thinking that how could a man be so perfect. The corner of your lips raised.

You spoke after a moment of silence.

"My lord, You should go back inside. Those ladies seem to......like you very much. I shouldn't take your time." You attempted to take off the coat that was placed upon you.

"Well, I do have the right to stay with a lady I find attractive, don't I? Besides, I still haven't asked her for a dance." He smiled again. His golden eyes shined under the moonlight.

How would a man with such good qualities choose me rather than other glorious ladies? You thought to yourself.

"I......" You peeked inside the ballroom through the windows, but your parents were nowhere to be found. This will be your only chance.
