Spinel x blind reader

Chapter 3

"Y-You're not...mad?"

She suddenly unravels her arms from around my body and stands up. "Mad? Why would I be mad at my...BEST FRIEND!" She announces in a very cheerful voice, very different from how her voice sounded before. I was very confused at this.

Was she....a different gem now? feeling the vibrations of her movements she seemed to be more playful and energetic, and more bouncy then before. it's like she was completely different person.

I took a moment to think before deciding to go along with it. "Hey! We should play a game!" She grabs my hands and helps me stand up, bouncing around in pure excitement.

"You...sound and act kinda different then what I remember." I mutter out to her and her bouncing stops. "Whaddya' mean?" She asks, voice laced with confusion. 

"Before you sounded evil and manic...but now you sound sweet and happy....Are you...the same gem as before?" I ask and she's silent before speaking up again. "It's your best friend, Spinel. I was made to be a friend, not sure what you meant by...how I acted...before." She sounds more confused, as confused as I felt...what was she talking about? 

Did she lose her memories somehow? Can that even happen to gems? And if it can then...how? 

Did that weapon have something to do with it?

I figured I'd go to Steven and ask him about it. "Uh...never mind, do you wanna go for a walk with me Spinel?" I ask her and she answers with a "Of course best friend!" Leaping over and wrapping her arms around mine, we head out. 

"So where we goin'?" She asks me as we walk around. "His name is Steven Universe, but he's a friend of mine and I want you to meet him." I inform her and she makes a sound of interest. "Ooooh more friends!" She smiles as she skips ahead of me as we made our way down Little Homeworld.

I could feel the slight vibrations of the injector on the hill, which helped a little on finding where Steven lived, I knew it was pretty much right below the injector. I could feel Spinel ahead of me, Clearly curious about everything around her.

Then I remembered my blindness I figured I should probably tell the memory-less Spinel about it so she'll understand. "Oh! Spinel can you come here? I need to tell you something important." I shout out and she comes back around.

"Yeah?"

"Ok so...something you need to know about me is that, I'm blind. I can't see the world around me and I've never been able to."

"Blind..? If you can't see.....how have you been able to walk without trouble?" 

"I have the ability to sense vibrations in the ground and hear a lot better then other people. I know where everything is, you, all the buildings around us, and even that bird right there." I pointed at the bird hopping around on the ground and Spinel walks over to get a good look at it in interest.

"Wow that's so cool! It's like you have a superpower!"
