Letters:chapter 1

Dear Dad,

Today I started a new school It was just the first day and I'm already getting bullied. The boys name is Josh he told me to go to the gym and lay off the donuts. I hid my tears,just smiled and walk away. If you think that's bad, lunch was worse. I sat alone and people were whispering at the table next to me and kept glancing at me with fake grins on their face. I don't know how I'm going to get threw this without you. I miss you.

So how's Iraq? I hope you are ok. Me and Mom made cookies just for you when you get home. We are always thinking about you. Kevin says hi. He can't wait to build that helicopter you both were talking about before you left. We all love and miss you. Stay safe!

Beep! Beep! Beep!

6:30am

A new day at a new school,mom said it would be a big adventure. That's the same thing dad said before he left for the military 8 months ago.

"WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Kevin was jumping on my bed. He just turned 13 last month. Dad sent him an Xbox. "Mom the next time you talk to dad tell him Kevin like the Xbox a lot" I said. .Moms really mad that dad was drafted into the military she really wanted him to stay home. We dream about him every night,we all feel that way. Sometimes mom cries herself to sleep. I picked out a nice pink dress and a denim jacket. I slept on my heels and ran to the bus before I was late. When I was on the bus the bus driver greeted me but the rest of the ride sucked. People are whispering around me. This one girl on the bus was trying to pick a fight with me.she was saying that I'm fat and to eat a heathy diet. I just kept ignoring her. I wish we could move back home with dad. I miss him. The bus parked at school and we all got off. Nobody would talk to me in any of my classes. The day came to an end. The bus ride home was the same as the ride to school. I walked in the door and everything got worse.
