Dear dad
The first week of school was not as good as I thought it would be, I got into a fight. It seems like everyone hates me, all my friends that I had last year hate me to. The school lunch sucks. My locker sucks because it gets stuck and everyone knows my combo. On the bus on the way home I get pushed around, we all miss you. I kinda hope some miracle can help me through this. I'm hoping that you are reading this, it would make me happy. I feel like you are the only one who really understands me anymore. Josh is STILL the biggest bully here. Every girl is head over heals for him. I dont get it. Why do people have to be so mean? Every day I think about you. I love you.

I put the letter in the mail. I wonder if he will ever write back. Josh is always teasing me about him he will say stuff like- If your dad gets shot can I have his bras? No madder how stupid his insults were, they still hurt.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
I glanced at my phone. I don't know the number but I still answered it.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey um this is Josh, can I speak to Julia?" said a guys voice on the other line.
I gulped. There was a moment of silence before I answered.
"Ummm, hey uh Josh. It's me Julia." I said with a nervous tone in my voice.
"Hi! I'm glad to hear from you." he said with a bit of relief.
I was confused. "Uh thanks?" I said back. What was I supposed to say?
"Did you check the science partner list on the school website?" he asked.
"Um not yet why?" I said.
"Oh well go check them" Josh said.
Oh no, what the hell does he mean? We better not be partners.
I pulled out my laptop. I went on the school science website and clicked on the partner list. I dropped the phone. My partner for the 4 month project is Josh.
