Last we left off Luffy and Yamato had escaped Wano and set sail for the east blue. as Luffy wanted to start in his home sea, but before they could officially start their journey, Luffy had to make a little detour first.
Luffy: do you want to come meet Makina, Mayor Woop slap, and Dadan and the bandits? I'm sure they'd love to meet my future queen of the pirates and I'm sure the both of us could use a drink before we set sail
Yamato: *chuckles* I don't see why not
Luffy then grabbed Yamato by the waist and they walked toward's partys bar
Luffy: it's good to be back!
small time skip
Today would be the anniversary of Luffy's disappearance and supposed death and because of that the bar was closed, however, she would always drink a cup of juice in remembrance of the energetic little boy that brightened up her day every time he would come to her establishment. he was like her little brother and to say it broke her heart when she heard that he disappeared would be an understatement though before she could start breaking into to tears over that horrible memory she heard the doors swing open
Makino: I'm sorry, but the bar is clo-
when she turned to face the people that walked in she grew wide-eyed and dropped the glass that she was previously cleaning. it couldn't be him, could it? but he has the same scar, the same black messy hair, but what really gave it away was the straw hat...and that same bright smile he always had
Makino: *becomes teary-eyed* L-Luffy?
Luffy: hey Makino, sure has been a while since I've seen my big sis, hasn't it? *laughs*
the green-haired woman slowly but surely walked from behind the counter before bursting into a full-on sprint to embrace the person she, along with the rest of the village, presumed to be dead
Makino: w-we thought...*sniff* I thought...oh Luffy
Luffy: sshh sshh sshh, I missed you too
the two let go of each other and smiled
Makino: look at you, you've grown up so much
Luffy: you're one to talk, I'm guessing you and Shanks tied the knot while I was gone?
what Luffy was referring to was the bloated belly that Makino had gained to which she responded with a sheepish laugh
Makino: u-um yeah, when you disappeared Shanks came back to help us look for you and when the searching stopped he would comfort me and it all just went from there
Luffy: well I guess I'm gonna be an uncle soon, huh? *laughs*
Makino: you sure are, along with Ace. *puts hand on stomach* it won't be long now before he comes into the world
Luffy: *puts hand on shoulder* I'm sure you'll be a great mother, after all, you had tons of practice with me when I was little!
Makino: *giggles* I suppose you're right *look behind him* oh? and who's this?
Luffy: oh! Makino, I would like you to meet your future sister-in-law
Yamato: *shyly waves* hello
Makino: *shocked expression* wow, you really did grow up! And what a beautiful young woman, I'm sure she'll make a great wife, Lu. But where are my manners, I'm Makino, Luffy's technical big sister, it's a pleasure to meet you
Yamato: same here
Makino: oh! we'd better tell the others your back! we'll even have a big party in your honor if you're able to stay that is
