Multi-colored glowing sticks waved back and forth in the air surrounding the stage. On said stage, stood the singers, all four of them mechanical human-sized cartoon animals. In the very back stood Chica. Chica, gleaming with a snowy white color, with four feathers on her smooth metal head. A bright peony pink bow rested beside the feathers. She wore a pink one-piece bikini, the flexible middle part a darker pink color. Her lipstick-adorned orange beak synced to the lead vocals of the 2000s girly pop hit. Providing the backing keytar was the ash gray canine in all her rocking glory, Roxanne Wolf. Her messy light gray hair rocked in the breeze. She was adorned with a dark red triangular two-piece bikini decorated with black stars. In the corner behind her was the bright green bassist, Montgomery Gator. Atop his eyes rest a pair of purple shades, shaped like stars. He had a bright red mohawk on the top of his head between his eyes. Rocking the drums was the band's only humanoid, Bebe. Bebe's body was slender and curvy, large breasts dominating her chest. She had light ginger hair, put up in bouncing pigtails wider than her head. She wore a similar pair of shades like Monty's, except these ones were red and shaped like hearts. Lastly, providing the backing percussion was the smallest of the group, Lilly. Springy antennae bounced from the top of her deep brown haired-head. She had light tan skin on her arms, neck and head, despite being a ladybug. She was dressed in a one-piece red costume with black polka dots all over it, with deep black tights ending in white frilly socks for her ankles. Her shoes were bright red, identical like the Mary Janes little girls always wore in cartoons except these ones had tap soles. Her nose was big, red and round. She was tap dancing and putting on quite a show for an even bigger show as is. All five of the stars were singing a once-famous pop hit from the last decade, or even older than that. A crowd of people were sitting on black plastic tables, glowing in the neon lights. The enormous LED screens contoured the crevices of the entire room with live-in recordings of the animatronic performances from all angles.

A group of teenage girls with Chica and Bebe-themed party hats were cradling another one of their group, a tan-skinned girl with long strands of shiny brown hair. She had a shirt that read "16" on its center. She was gleaming with happiness, her teeth reflecting the lights. When the song had finished, a voice boomed out as the lights grew a more pinkish color. "Welcome, Shelly! We at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex hope you're having a FAZ-TABULOUS time! Your biggest surprise yet is about to arrive!" A robotic voice bellowed over the speakers. The hidden fog machines in the room began to hiss and spew misty clouds in front of a door. The door, a mechanical sliding type, began to noisily make its way open. Three spotlights clicked on, sending a dazzling cone of white lights directly downwards. A tall and muscular shadow created its outline underneath. The shape marched forward, revealing itself as none other than Freddy Fazbear. He was completely nude, save for a black top hat with a light green stripe. He was colored a bright brown, and tan on his muzzle. His inner motors whirred as he walked towards the table. Standing at the base of it in front of a crowd of smiling people, his chest began to open.

Two metal plates painted to look like his skin slowly ascended, showing his mechanical innards. In the center atop his legs, sat a large, round and iced birthday cake. Everyone at the benches began to applaud for the birthday girl, said girl was squealing with pure delight. Freddy cautiously pulled the cake out of his robotic abdomen and handed it to Shelly. On top of the cake in neat frosting penwork read "Happy Sweet 16! Hope it's all you were hoping for!" surrounded by little blemishes of frosting. Freddy closed his chest pieces and went up the stairs towards the stage. A mechanical opening in the floor with a small elevator inside lifted him his microphone with the tall stand. The room then suddenly went dark, an audible "POW" signifying the next part of the show was about to begin. The next moment, Chica's portion of the stage was shown with a pink spotlight. She began to slowly strum her guitar. Next, Montgomery's part was signified with a bright chartreuse green. He rocked a hard solo on his guitar. Roxanne was next, shining grape purple, with the intro to a song on her keytar. Finally, shown in bright orange, was Freddy, whispering into the microphone "one, two, three, four.." to start the band's tempo. Then, speakers began to blast a medley of the familiar "Happy Birthday" song but with Freddy and friends' added lyrics. Everyone in the band was jamming out the corporate jingle morphed into a rock song, Monty jumping around, with Roxanne and Chica touching each others' shoulders whilst singing. Bebe stood up from her drum set for a second to pick up Lilly and twirl her around. Elsewhere, far away from the stage behind a large artificial potted plant, a tuft of hair stuck out. "All I have to do now is just wait for Freddy to be done. Then I can sneak into his room after the mall closes!" the child repeated his master plan to himself so as to not forget. He pressed his fingers into the soil in the pot out of patience yet anxiety.

He was a bit worried that his "awesome plan" to "start a new life" at the Mega Pizzaplex was possibly flawed. The staff robots could see him. Vanessa could see him. Oh, Vanessa. She was diabolical. Every child who ever disturbed her never came back the same. Poor Marcy had asked her for a crayon and Vanessa told the poor girl to "find her own". Benjamin had asked her to help him look for his Montgomery doll, but Vanessa told him he was too old for toys. Whenever she was on her five o' clock break, she was always at Faz-Pad because outside food wasn't allowed. Little Robbie had learned that the hard way, with his hot dog being tossed into the trash in front of him. The child stopped reminiscing. This was the present. He wasn't going to be Vanessa's next laughing stock.

The show was finally over and people started grabbing their coats and their bags, scooping up babies, toys and pets. He watched them exit through the large door with a big decal of Helpy the little bear pointing where to go. Muttering, they formed a single-file line and strode out. The lights of the private party room suddenly flashed on once more. Now was the time! Swiftly grabbing his backpack, he raced for the nearby glass doors leading to the massive atrium. He backed into the doors to pry them open and continued his make-believe chase. He imagined that a giant and scaly green serpent was jumping from table to table across the dining area, a pirate's cutlass in its mouth. To throw the snake off, he kicked over a Roxanne-themed trash bin, overflowing with food wrappers, broken toys and cups. He saw the snake bash into it and get his head stuck through the side like an old cartoon. The child, happy with his work, made a loud raspberry noise with his tongue.

He continued to scurry across the Freddy-print neon carpet, until something caught his legs. "Augh!" He flipped over and tumbled across the floor. His backpack rolled under a nearby table. When he looked up, he saw her cold, green eyes gazing into his soul, impaling it. An icy breeze coiled across his innards. He gasped. He began to stammer. Before a word could leave him, the woman cut him off. "Look. I've had a long day. I don't know who you are, but you've caused a lot of trouble I know you're not going to fix. Looks like the only human being who works here anymore is going to have an EVEN LONGER DAY!" She finished her gripe with a chilling screech. The child, bewildered, squirmed under a table to retrieve his backpack. He saw Vanessa try to grab his leg, but with a grunt, he kicked her away just in time. "Ow!" The child looked backward. Vanessa was holding her nose with her hand. Something red spilled out of her palms and stained Freddy's eye on the floor. "You little- GET OVER HERE, RIGHT NOW!" She screamed, her voice echoing from the corners of the trash cans to the ceiling and back again. The child, now completely terrified, scrambled out of the table, hitting his head on it as he jumped away from Vanessa, her nose now bleeding profusely. Coughing and hacking on her own bodily fluids, she whipped out her walkie talkie from her holster. "Cough, cough, I need ALL S.T.A.F.F. bots searching for a loose child. Bring him to me if you find him. Cough, cough." Out of sheer rage, she kicked over a Chica themed trash can, breaking the feathers on its top and screamed into the air as loud and as hard as she could. She screamed until her voice grew hoarse and she dissolved into another coughing fit.

The child sprinted to where he knew the animatronics' living spaces were. He had a map he'd made out of crayons in the daycare. Through the Party Check-In booth, was the hall where the animatronics resided. He tried to run faster, although he didn't think he could go much faster than he already was going. He stopped short when he found himself at the doors to the Rockstar Row, but the entrance was blocked by security-cap donning S.T.A.F.F. bots. He gasped. "Halt." They all said in monotonous unison. Their flashlights were pointed directly at the child's face. "Security Guard 23 has asked us to look for LOOSE CHILDREN. You are a LOOSE CHILD. Failing to comply with our orders will result in termination of your membership."

The child laughed nervously, clutching the straps on his yellow backpack. He didn't exactly have a membership. Not one that was valid, anyway. "I have a membership...yeah!" He mumbled. The robots, despite their lack of facial features besides eyes, looked at him convincingly. "Let me... find it!" He chuckled suspiciously. The robots stared down on him, judging him in a way. Suddenly, the child pointed and yelled "Oh my goodness! Look! Bonnie's at Roxy Raceway!" Instantaneously, the robots heeded his call and whirred off to the racetrack attraction on their little wheels. Once he was sure they were gone, he jumped up top to the lever in the booth and pulled it.

The doors to the Row opened with a loud creak, which made the child shiver. Vanessa could be on her way! Once the doors had swung open, the child ran diagonally across the floor. When he reached the spot he was running towards, he took a moment to marvel. The Rockstar Row was a series of rooms connected in one giant hall. Each room belonged to one animatronic. Freddy's, Bonnie's, (blocked by caution tape) and Montgomery were on the left side of the hallway, while Roxanne's, Chica's, Lilly's, and Bebe's were on the right. Faint rock tunes murmured some unknown lyrics in Chica's room. The rhythmic sounds of the rapid clacking of tap shoes echoed from Lilly's space.

The child scurried to the next corner between Roxanne and Chica's room, and that's when he saw that Freddy's room was oddly, still open. All the other rooms were blocked off by a corrugated metal door, each with a decal of the respective character's face on it. Freddy's was completely unlocked, as if the mall was still open. The child snuck inside, the tromps of his footsteps on the tile floor turning to piffs on carpet. He gazed into the purple tinted window of the tubular charging station. He could barely make out Freddy's face behind the fogged glass. The charging stations were like beds for the animatronics. If you wake them up by opening their charging station too early, the animatronic would grow cranky and have a reduced showtime.

Freddy's room was a bit cramped. It had a light orange theme, the lights and walls reminding the child of Freddy's tan skin. The floor was littered with stuffed toys themed after the bear, many varying in size. A pink sneaker lay on its side beside the sofa in the corner of the room, its matted dirty shoelaces splattered out everywhere. Posters of Freddy's chubby face were stuck everywhere in the room, despite Freddy's actual face being more muscular and sharp. The child stared at Freddy's charging station, and with a deep breath he pushed the button to open the chamber. The hiss of an airlock screamed his location out for the world to hear. The child hid behind the device and waited for the door to be completely ajar. Freddy lay asleep as if nothing had ever happened. He lay slumped. The child ran around the device and squeezed in between Freddy's legs. "Kid, get your ass out here, NOW!" The child gasped. That was Vanessa! He could hear the clacks of her shoes getting closer. "I know you're in the green room! You're gonna get your head crushed!" She screamed. The child was rummaging through his backpack, looking for something to throw. His hand found something rough that smelled nice. He pulled it out and found a tangerine in his grasp. He threw it as lightly at the flashing door button on the wall as he could, and sighed of relief when the fruit barely hit it and the door began to rumble shut. "HEY!" Vanessa shrieked, and the child could hear her running towards the room but it was too late. The door was too close to the ground. It closed with a bump. Pounding and kicking echoed from the other side. "OPEN THE DOOR!" she could be heard shrieking. The child grabbed the door of the charging chamber and yanked it shut. It didn't lock, it dangled open a little bit. He sighed, but gasped again when something in there began to glow.

The child held his breath in as something behind him groaned. "Urrgg.. What time is it?" A deep and gravelly voice growled behind him. The child slowly turned his head around. Freddy's eyes could be seen in the abyss, glowing like the sun. "Is my charging station open? Whirs of a motor began to whisper on and off as Freddy's mechanical shins floated forward towards the open door, letting an icy draft in. The child was as silent as he could be, the only sound beside the hum of the ventilation shafts and Freddy marching out was the pure crystalline silence of midnight air. The child, slow as molasses, turned around, squeezing himself out of Freddy's way. He made himself as small as possible, until he heard something in his backpack under him begin to sing.

"No!" The child yelled out, unknowingly blowing his cover. His hands raced into the crevices of his backpack, feeling around the scattered cracker crumbs and plastic tokens. His fingers grasped something coiled and soft. Yanking his arm out, the boy fumbled around for the "off" button of his Tap and Sing Lilly doll. The doll's legs flapped around in rhythm to the character's anthem. She sang "My name is Lilly! I'm a little love bug! I love to tap and sing! I'll paint your nails or give you a hug! Don't ya worry, I don't sting!" By the time the child had found the off switch to the toy on the little ladybug's rump, Freddy had already been staring at him for three minutes, and the doll had sung two other songs, one about tap-dancing and one about gummy candy. "Hello there, little boy. How long have you been here?" Freddy finally spoke. The child's insides turned to ice. A chill went through his entire body. "T-today..." He whimpered. Freddy looked at him. "How odd. I have seen you before, but you are not in the guest log. Could you provide your name?" The child, nervous, blurted out his name. "Gregory!". A moment later, he explained it quieter. "My name is Gregory."

Freddy turned his segmented mechanical body one way, then the other. "Alright. I will make you a Faz-License later. Gregory beamed. "I'm not in trouble?" He whispered. "Not with me, you are not. Not with my friends either. Vanessa will be fuming, however." He then turned towards the gray metal vent cover toward the corner of the wall. "I have an idea that will get you away from Vanessa. Do you see that grate over there, Gregory? That vent will take you straight to Rising Stars Daycare. We can distract her if we turn off the power in this hallway. Near the daycare is a control room. We have many in our mall. This one maps out the first floor and can keep Vanessa busy. I will hoist you up." Gregory thought about it for a moment, and then giggled. He was allowed by Freddy Fazbear himself to have an adventure through the PizzaPlex at night! Midnight! No one to bother him! No one to tell him what to do or where to go. He felt he was going to have the most fun night ever.

Freddy held the bottom of Gregory's shoes and lifted him up into the open vent. Cold metal cushioned his knees. "Before you leave, take this Faz-Flashlight. Freddy walked over to the mirror on the right side of the room opposite of the vent. He grasped a flashlight and walked back over to Gregory, then handed the device to him. "Thanks, Freddy," Gregory whispered. He then shuffled forward, holding the flashlight steady in front of him. The golden cone of light shone through the square abyss ahead. The vent was textured with an X shape down through every panel. Ahead, two dimly lit turns to the left approached Gregory on his trip through the corridors. Gregory turned to the left, finding a new vent grate. He peered through and saw Montgomery's room, a bright green complex. Montgomery himself was nowhere to be seen, he was inside his charging station. Disinterested, Gregory turned back around and stopped at the next one, sighing sadly. When he saw Bonnie's empty room, he almost wanted to cry. Bonnie's room was, oddly enough, painted pitch-black. Nothing had been moved since it had been painted, he could make out light shapes on the floor. They looked like stuffed toys. Gregory whipped around and sped through the vent towards the daycare.
