[<><><>Host is entering the main space.]
A robotic sound echoed in the place.
'What?'
[Host has regained consciousness.]
'Who's talking? Agh-'
Amelia stood up and felt a headache surging like a tide inside her head.
"Huh?"
Amelia looked at her visible hands in a surprised manner. She discovered that her body was still whole and safe in any way.
There was no wound nor blood on her stomach.
'Didn't I get stabbed by that bastard? I didn't die?'
[Welcome, host.]
"What the heck-!"
A floating and talking cat suddenly appeared in front of her.
"What- what are you? Where is this place? Wait no, why am I asking a cat? Strange... Didn't I die?" Amelia mumbled to herself.
She observed the surroundings and beheld that there was nothing except a void of nothingness.
[Hello, host. Welcome to the main space where time and all eternity is present. This space is created by the main system, also known as 'heavens' in human terms.]
"The cat just talked-"
[I'm not a cat.]
'I'm confused.'
"Kindly elaborate please."
She had lost of questions but first, she needed to know what the hell was going on for now.
[To answer your confusions, you already died in the human world which you refer to as 'earth.' And the body you have right now is nothing but a piece of your soul after you died. In short, this is the afterlife.]
"Ah, so I really died. How sad." Amelia felt a bit down.
[Fret not, host. The main system has chosen your soul as a task taker to travel in different worlds as a form of justice and entertainment before you entirely disappear from the afterlife and have your gain.]
"Gain? That's quite intriguing. Tell me more about this system. Also, can you come down? My neck hurts watching you from here."
[Will do.]
The cat slowly went down til it leveled Amelia's eyesight.
"That's better."
[The main system's purpose of existence is to provide chances to souls like you who experienced an unjust death. We are also known as the 'Chance System.']
"Are there also task takers aside from me?"
[Yes, there are many. But don't worry, other task takers won't interrupt a world if a task taker has already been assigned in that certain world. This is to make sure that there will be no chaos and trouble happening in the future.]
"Ooh, nice."
Truth be told, Amelia was in denial and confusion at first.
But as she get to know more about her situation, she felt relaxed.
"So what world have I been assigned to? How many?"
[The main system has tons of branches that would cater more than billions of world. As for you, I've been notified that you will be assigned in your own worlds.]
