"Thank you for coming," Miles mumbles as he pulls me through the living room full of his relatives.

"You know I came to this party to thank you for the gift," I say as Miles opens a door to a room.

"Well, you can thank me later. If you don't have something Christmas themed on my family will kick you out," Miles says as he opens up the door to a closet.

"Whose room is this?" I ask as I sit on the edge of the bed in the middle of the room.

"Mine," Miles says.

I quickly get off his bed and stand next to him. My cheeks flush bright red. I can't believe I sat on Miles Miller's bed.

"Put this on," Miles says as he throws me a piece of clothing.

I hold it up and it has cats in Santa suits riding rainbows. I can't help but crack a smile.

"When did you get this?" I ask knowing it's definitely not something Miles would wear.

"After you said yes to coming," he says with his head hung low.

I don't know what to say. How does one respond to someone saying that. I open my mouth to say something when someone barges into the room.

"Where is my favorite nephew at?" a blonde woman says.

"I'm right here Demi," Miles says.

The blonde woman, Demi, looks between Miles and I.

"I'll let you two get back to what you were doing," she says with a wink.

"N...no, no, no, we weren't doing anything. We aren't anything. Just roommates," Miles says quickly.

I then realize that Demi was the blonde women who helped Miles get his stuff into the dorm room.

"Okay," Demi says with a smirk. "Why don't you two come on out to the party."

"Fine," Miles groans.

Demi walks out but turns back quickly. "Be sure to put that sweater in young man. You don't want to be the only one who isn't wearing something Christmas-y," she says before actually leaving.

"Turn around," I tell Miles.

Miles turns the other way so I can switch from my sweater vest to the sweater he got me. I strip of my sweater vest but leave my collared shirt with the bowtie. I quickly slide the Christmas cat sweater on and fix my collar so my bowtie is more even.

"You can look now," I say.

Miles turns around and smiles. "Where did you get the tie from?" he asks me.

"My sibling, Jinx, got it for me for Christmas," I says.

"That was very sweet of them," he says. "Now we should get to the party."
