Runaway Okumura (Old Version)

Part 5: Rough Reunion

Third person P.O.V

Rin quickly bit the hand that was over her mouth. She turned to face the person but paused. The thing she bit wasn't a person. Well it was, but they had horns and those black things surrounding them. They had sharp fangs and weird eyes.

They growled before lunging at Rin. Rin quickly moved to the side, the guy barely missing her. She quickly runs inside. She shakily locks the front door before going upstairs. She picks Akio up, making sure to wrap him with his blanket so he doesn't get cold. Then she makes her way downstairs.

Akio stayed asleep. He's a very heavy sleeper so Rin didn't have to worry about him waking up and getting scared.

Rin heard the guy banging on the door. Right as the guy broke the door down she went through the backdoor. She runs through the woods, making sure to watch where she is going. She heard the guy running behind her.

She felt a small sting of pain in her leg. She falls to her knees, using her body to protect Akio. Rin glances at her leg. Her eyes widened seeing a large cut on it. The guy walked up to her. He was talking about killing her and Akio. Then she erupted into blue flames. The guy fell backwards as the flames burned him. Rin looked at the flames in shock. Without worrying for herself she looked at Akio. He was still asleep and not at all affected by the flames. He curled up closer to Rin, smiling a bit.

Rin sighs. Her leg no longer hurt so she looked at it. The wound was healed. Without questioning why or how she got up. She could hear people in the distance running and yelling towards where she was.

Without much thought she runs off. The flames died down but didn't go away. Rin didn't really mind. It helped her see where she was going. It got that guy away from her and Akio. It healed her leg or something like that so she wasn't gonna complain about it.

The footsteps and voices got slightly louder. Rin stepped up the pace. Then she got to a river. She paused, thinking of what to do. That was enough time for someone to spot her and yell out to the other people. Rin turned to face the person. She saw some guy wearing a balck coat not too far in the woods from where she was. He was holding a gun. He wasn't pointing it at her which she was grateful for.

Rin looked around before running towards a tree that made a small bridge across the river. She started to cross it when there were multiple voices. She turned to see a bunch of people near the end of the tree.

A growl left her throat when she noticed all of them had weapons. Then her eyes met her Dad's and her brothers. She bites her lip before going completely across the tree.

Right as she does Yukio decides to cross. Rin wanted to run but she had to make sure her brother got across without getting hurt. She'd feel terrible if he got hurt. So she backed away from the tree and watched him.

Yukio carefully walked across the tree. He balanced himself on it without an issue. His boots hit the grass with a soft thud. Immediately afterwards the tree caved in on the middle, making it impossible to go back or go to where Yukio and Rin were at.

Yukio's teal eyes met Rin's dark blue. By then the blue flames had completely disappeared. Rin expected for him to shoot her or punch her but instead he ran towards her and hugged her. Yukio tightened the hug slightly before suddenly pulling away. He looked down and noticed Akio in Rin's arms. He paused before looking up to meet Rin's eyes again.

"You have a kid?" He whispered, clearly shocked.

Rin paused before nodding. She holds back tears while looking down at the ground.

"I-I got pregnant and-and I knew you guys would b-be upset. I was already a failure! I didn't need you guys to think worse of me so I left. I didn't wanna-I couldn't kill him. I'm sorry Yuki! I'm so sorry!! I-I didn't-" Rin's crying and talking was interrupted by Yukio tightly hugging her.
