She'd had to leave us, my keeper he prayed for a safe return.
But when the night came, the weather to a raging storm had turned.

He watched her ship fight, but in vain against the wild and terrible wave.
In me so helpless, as dashed against the rock she met her end.

The wedding plans were well underway

when Madaline got her letter to return

for work. She cried as she told Andrew

that they're wedding would have to be postponed.

She began packing her bags to head out.

She kissed him goodbye before she left for the port.

When she was out of sight, he ran to the top

of my tower to watch for her ship. He slept

on my balcony as it was the next day before the

ship was prepared to leave. Overnight

clouds had began to roll in and rain began to fall

by morning. The wind had picked up to 95

MPH when the captain gave the command to

hoist anker and head out. Andrew

watched in horror as he saw what the captain

couldn't. Storm clouds had covered Wisteria

and lighting struck at the mouth of the bay.

Waves grew and acted as a wall and began

pushing the ship back. The crew fought for

hours to escape the hellsome bay. All the while,

Andrew watched from the lighthouse.

After what seemed like an eternity, the ship

met its resting place against the rocks of the shore.

Andrew took his spotlight and looked for

survivors for the rest of the night, but to no avail.
