I sat in back of Potions for the first time this school year, as always I sat in the back corner where the only person who would talk to me was Professor Slughorn. I was in my own bubble when a boy sat next to me, great I thought just great. He turned to me and held out his hand presuming I would shake it, "my name is Sirius black nice to meet you." I looked at him, not knowing weather to be confused or offended, we were in our fifth year at Hogwarts and he's only just realized my presence.
"What house are you in?" Again I gave him a strange look before turning my attention to the Advanced potions book I was reading. Remus turned around to speak to Sirius and I couldn't help but overhear their whispers, "Moony, who's is she?"
"Pads her name is Georgie, she's been in our classes since first year also she's in Gryffindor. Be nice to her." Remus rolled his eyes and and turned to me "nice summer Georgie?"
I nodded and smiled at him, he turned back around knowing I wouldn't say anything to him when Sirius was there. I can speak I just choose not, no one can hurt you if they don't know you.
But I always spoke to Remus when we are together which isn't often.
I ignored Sirius' stares throughout the class, as soon as the bell rang I grabbed my bag and left swiftly. I reached the common room to be met by the marauders whispering, why weren't they in the lunch hall?
"Georgie, right on time. We would like to introduce ourselves, I'm James potter." "I'm Peter." "I'm Sirius Black as u know and u know our Remus." I scowled lightly at Remus warning him to get him friends to piss off.
I noticed Mary, Marlene, Dorcas and Lily and grabbed Mary's hand signaling to them that I wanted them all to leave with me. They all followed me to the Great Hall. Marlene, Lily, Dorcas and Mary and I met at my first year and have become my best friends especially Lily, she's so empathetic and self-surficial to a fault. There all so special yet different, lily is a muggleborn, Mary is a pure-blood adopted by muggles, Marlene and Dorcas are half bloods and I'm a pure-blood.
But no one knows that I'm a pure-blood, no one knows my last name I don't want them to judge me when they find out my family is the Dumbledore's. It's not as if they need to know, I just wanna live a normal Hogwarts life with my friends.
"Georgie are you gonna tell us why you rushed us to the great hall." Lily questioned. "Maybe she was all flustered seeing Remus." Mary giggled, I threw a pea at her. "I don't like him like that, plus us Paix girls aren't meant to involve ourselves with the marauders. Looks like Evan broke that code though." I smirked.
We called ourselves the Paix girls, see marauder means raider and Paix means peace in French, after the marauders go round breaking everything we are left to clean it up and keep the peace. Which is why I was so annoyed when they didn't know me, not that a I care. Not really.
I was broke out of my trance by a body sitting at the side of me, I looked to the side to see Remus and next to him Peter. I glared at lily who was in front of me before looking at James and Sirius who was next to her and Dorcas who was sat next to her. Mary and Marlene and either side of Dorcas and I. Confused I tried to ignore the boys but it was harder than I thought, Remus tried to get me engaged in the conversations the rest of the group was having but I wouldn't talk to him when the boys were there.
I was so deep in my own world I didn't realise the girls had left and the marauders had surrounded me. Fuck.
