When you ask God for anything, He doesnt just give it to you directly. He gives you the opportunity to get it.
When you ask Him for courage, He gives you the opportunity to be courageous. You suddenly dont get all brave and mighty.
When you ask Him for patience, He gives you the opportunity to be patient.
At each point in life we are given an opportunity, a chance, to do somethimg for others or for ourselves, it is upto us if we take the chance when it comes our way or do we just let it slip through our fingers and regret it later...
And when we take the chance do we act upon it the way we are supposed to....
He tests us at every stage in our lives, because He knows we are capable of overcoming the troubles and difficulties that are in front of us.
Though you may lose faith in yourselves or in your capabilities, He wont.
