Chapter 28 - Detective Date

Author's Note: Hey Guys, Check out my new Pixane AU called "The Ice Guardian and the Necklace". This is possibly an emotional chapter because something sad happens at the start, but I promise this Ninjago au has I happy ending like every other book I made which were pixane au for the pixane lovers out there.

Pixal POV

After we had that science excursion, there was a book character dress-up day next week.

This was because that week was book week, it was one of my favourites.

This year I am thinking of dressing up as Friday Barnes a thirteen-year-old detective,

I have a whole collection of her books.

At the moment I was cooking with my brother,

For some reason, he kept on trying to annoy me by teasing me about how I have got a crush.

I always ignored his silly jokes and stuff, 

"Forgot to tell you, how was camp? It was a few weeks ago" he said.

"hmm, it was great, we had an afternoon disco, a night trivia and a movie night," I say to him.

I could see him smiling at me,

"That is great," he said.

My brother sometimes reminds me of my friend who is now one of my best friends, Lloyd.

After we made dinner, I found my father acting weird, 

"Is anything ok father?" I ask him.

"Everything is fine sweetie, just a bit exhausted that's all," my father says.

I smile and we served ourselves dinner, 

When I went to bed, my friend Akita started to text me about the character dress-up day.

She thought of dressing up as Wolf Girl, 

I'm pretty sure that Zane might dress up as a superhero or something.

Akita wonders if we both end up being the same character or something, I would tell her that it would never happen.

Days passed and my father was acting weirder, 

Soon it was book week and Monday was the character dress-up day,

I woke up in a flash and put a black T-shirt on with some dark blue track pants and a jacket and some black heel boots.

Lastly, I got my Grey fedora, I haven't worn it for a while.

I put a silver ribbon around it and tied a bow,

I ran stairs with my bag packed and ready to go.

"Father, I'm going," I say, but I only heard silence,

"Father?" I called out his name, normally he would be here.

I heard a groan in the corner, suddenly I saw my father on the floor and his eyes were shut.

"Father, are you ok?" I asked him,

He opened one eye and groaned again, he pointed to my phone.

"Get the doctor" he whispers,

I immediately rang the ambulance, soon the paramedics came in and took my father to the hospital.

When we arrived I had to wait outside, later my brother came into the hospital and found me sitting outside my father's room.

I couldn't hide my sadness, he wrapped me in a hug and I began crying.

I was getting late for school, I didn't worry about that, I was more worried about my father.
