CHAPTER ONE

The sound of birds chirping early in the morning, the smell of fresh dried clothes. The girl stepping into her shoes and slipping her backpack onto her back. She walked downstairs to her living room to find her mother passed out drunk on the couch for the fifth time this week.

This past week the girl has been waking up to shower and get ready for school, just to walk downstairs to find her sleeping mother. She hoped she'd starts back waking up to the smell of fresh make breakfast. But that hasn't happened since her father has passed away a few weeks ago.

The girl was depressed for days and couldn't get out of her bed. But she gathered herself and had the courage to get out of bed and go to school. But her mother isn't doing so well.

She just grabbed an apple and walking out heading to school. She took her headphones out of her bag and connected them to her phone, listening to her music.

While walking she was to into her music to the point where she didn't her her two best friends calling out to her.

They ran up to her and hooked their arms together. Shocking the girl at the sudden touch she looks over to see one of her best friends On- jo. She smiles at the girl and takes her headphones off.

"Hey On-jo, I-sak." She said looking at both of the girls. The girl reply with an 'hello jae.' In sync. Making their friend giggle.

The girls continue to walk to school talking and giggling. They didn't worry about being late because they left home early. Well Jae always did, her best friends would always be late. They talked about the boys they liked in their class, the girls they didn't like and they things they should buy together.

The trio makes it to the crossing guard thinking that they are the only ones about to cross. But that was a lie. There was a huge group of kids waiting for the light to switch so they can run into the school gates so they didn't get marked tardy. Once the light switched everyone rushes into the gates, even the three girls.

The two teachers stops the late students before yelling at some girls in the back of the line. One of the late kids happen to be On-jo.

"We should wait for her." Jae says.

"Nah I'm good." I-sak reply's grabbing jae by her arm and pulling her to class. But they don't have to same class.

Jae happen to have science while I-Sak and On-Jo has English. The girls separate and head to their classes. Jae is always early to class and she happens to be one of the smartest students in the class.

The rest of the students begin to flood into the classroom and sitting with their friends. The teacher wasn't here yet and what they do has nothing to do with Jae.

A group of girl sitting all together in one corner and group of boys standing in another. Jae had friends and she was waiting for them before the teacher came. But Eun-Ji walks into class with her head held low. She walks over and sit down, their seatmates.

After a while of everyone talking and laughing the teacher walks in the classroom. Mr. Byeong chan walking into the classroom and standing behind his desk. Everyone quickly went to their desk and sat down next to their seatmates.

While the teacher was teaching the lesson, the sound of laughter is heard. Jae looks around confused on why everyone is laughing. And she sees her friend head held down low with tears rolling down her face.

She was being bullied. The boy, Yoon Gwi Nam. What was writing "I'm so sexy" on the back of her shirt, making everyone laugh. Jae looks back at the laughing boy and makes eye contact with him. He winks at her and continue laughing. The girl just rolls her eyes and looks back ahead seeing a confused look Mr. Byeong chan.
