One Shot

"What do you want from me?!" Ronnie yelled.

"I don't know anymore! You've changed... Sometimes I don't even recognize you!" Dinah retaliated.

"You know what, I'm done! I can't deal with this anymore!" He said as he grabbed his jacket and stormed out of their luxury condo in uptown L.A.

She gave him a glare, "And where are you gonna go?"

"Anywhere you aren't!" He said as he slammed the door behind him.

She opened the door and yelled after him, "Ronnie!"

He ignored her and continued to storm off.

"Ronald Banks!" she yelled as he continued to ignore her, "Fine! Leave! What do I care?!"

She then slammed the door in frustration.

She leaned against the door, looking up at the ceiling, and slid to the ground as tears started to form.

Her and Ronnie were 25, and had been married for 3 years, but had recently been having, complications... Just so many disagreements over sometimes serious things, other times over stupid things. She ran a hand through her hair, as she pulled her knees to her chest and let the tears silently fall. What was she gonna do? She sighed heavily, as she took out her phone and dialed a number.

"Hello?"

"Mani? Mani it's me," Dinah cried out.

"Dinah? Dinah what's wrong? Do you need me and Masi to come over?"

"No, I just need someone- someone to talk to..." she said with a sniffle.

"OK, here Masi just walked in, I'm putting the phone on speaker. Now, what happened?"

"We-we-we had another fight."

"What was it about this time?"

"Did he touch you, if he did, just say the word and I'll come down there and beat his ess!" Masi added.

Dinah gave a sad chuckle, "No Masi, he didn't hit me, you can best believe he'd be gone forever. And he knows better than that. I just... I don't even remember why we started arguing. All I really remember is a lot of yelling before he stormed off. I told him I didn't care what happened to him, what if he never comes back?!"

"D, if he really cares he'll come back. It's how us men work. He just needs some time to cool off. Just give him some space and he'll be back in an hour or two."

"You think so?"

"I know so."

Dinah could practically see Masi's reassuring smile, she smiled in response, "Thanks Masi."

"No problem cuz."

"I'm here too." Normani added.

Dinah and Masi laugh.

"A thank you to you to Mani."

"No problem girl, you know we're always here when you need us."

"Thanks guys."

"Anytime, call us when he comes home ok?"

"Ok. Bye, love you guys."

"Love you too!" Normani and Masi said as they hung up.

Dinah sighed as she shoved the phone back in her pockets. She got up off the floor and headed to the kitchen, where she poured herself, just a little something to take the edge off. She slumped down into her couch and waited for the front door to open and reveal Ronnie, but it never did. An hour passed, then another, and another, and another. When five hours passed she grew worried and called the cops.
