The ashes from when the manor burnt down were floating into the palace courtyard like snow, flurrying down to coat the ground. Snuffing out my sense of smell and polluting my lungs to the point where I can hardly breathe. It feels like breathing in shards of glass. I can feel the rope restraints gnawing at my wrists and ankles as I struggle to get free before They arrive. I reach out, willing my mind to find the metal buried in the ground to no avail. It feels like my senses have been dulled. I can sense the metal is there, but I can't move it to aid my escape, or even to defend myself. Looking around I see darker bricks, dark grey, almost black ones.
"Silencing Stones, 'Great'", I state, exasperated.
Glancing up, I see movement in one of the higher windows. They, are watching me. No surprise there! Damon would know how to get out of this mess for sure. He would cause a distraction and kick something over, then he could sweet talk his way out of the restraints and escape. But unlike Damon, I am not a naturally likable person. Oh damn him, he honestly seemed lost when Ianthe killed Leto. I mean, his lover killing our sister, that's no reason to sulk. Because, unlike him, this gave me a new purpose. Vengeance. Hmph. I might as well get someone to talk to. Standing here doing nothing, was not helping me at all. Looking around the area of the wooden platform that I had been tied up on, there were a few bits of wood around the edge that weren't secured down. And a double-sided axe, strung together firmly by some rope, wedged into the platform. Probably for public executions.
As I push myself, swinging out, in hope of unwedging the axe from the platform. I bite my lip, to hold down the whimper as I feel the rope dig in, and burn my wrists. I repeated swinging and kicking a few times before I managed to kick out far enough to hit the axe. Unfortunately, ripping some stitches in the process. As my feet made contact with it, it dislodged and fell towards the edge. Leaving me wheezing from the ash inhalation, and pouring golden ichor. On a positive note, the gag in my mouth acted as a mask and was preventing the worst.
After a few minutes of trying to regain my breath, I looked up to the stony castle walls. Assessing the reaction. When two figures approached from the dimly lit doorway, escorted by what looked like a small army of guards. Of course, the Lord and Lady Dareia, parents of the girl who killed my sister, the girl I came here to kill, and of course, owner of the manor I helped burn down. I had hoped they burned with it. But of course I would have no such luck. Once they reached the platform, they halted. Then one of the soldiers stepped forward and took off their helmet, thick red hair streaked with blonde and white fell from the helmet, laying to rest around the boys' head, oddly reminding me of a fox. As he looks up, his piercing grey eyes meet mine, surveying me, from my pale silver hair, that has fallen to frame my face, to my rough, worn-in leather shoes. Glaring into his shrewd grey, I say ferociously, "And Who. Are. You."
"I'm the Prince. Spokesperson for the King. So I would watch your tongue Tisophone, if you wish to keep it", he replies swiftly, seeming unaffected by the ferocity.
"Now", he says calmly, cutting off my chance to speak, "Why don't you tell us why you are here". Feeling bitter from the lack of revenge, and irritated by his fluid, seemingly unaffected answer. I sharply announce, "You wanna hear a story," my voice lowering to a strained mutter, "Yeah, you want to hear a story"...

And I was back, back in the dingy soul of the battle. The other Titrons and I had just blown in the gates, piercing any fool that was unfortunate enough to be in the way. The fire from the braziers was soaring overhead, pummeling the house, attacking the vines that were reaching out in an attempt to strangle and grab the attacking team. Storming into the yard of the manor, I could hear the clink of a sword meeting another behind me, and sensing the metal, I could feel what was steel laced with gold ( the opponents ), and what was iron ( my small army ). Sensing a steel blade behind me, I turned and dispersed the metal across the ground, leaving the attacker holding nothing but air. And as I skewered them with my blade, ending their reign of terror, the adrenaline of the battle took over. I was on one side of the yard turning steel into spears and flinging them into everyone who didn't have iron. Then I was at the other end, with Damon at my side, him charming people to lowering their guard, and me gauging them with my sword. Then I was alone again, a ring of fire had formed off on the side of the yard. Good luck to whoever was in there, the Flamer clearly had the advantage. I could see Damon, he was slightly closer to the ring of fire than me. His blonde hair was lit up by the fire in the background, in a transfixing golden state, and his murky brown eyes were fierce with aggression. He was fine, for now. Flinging myself back into the adrenaline state I was in before, swords clashing, metal melting into spears, and dodging fire and vines that were sent my way.
