Prologue

Layla POV

15 years later 5 kids, Keagan is 21 preparing to take over for Abel they're  connected at the hip and so much alike and such a good leader. He is dating a girl names Katie is 21 she is gorgeous smart and puts him in his place when he needs it especially my hard headed boy.

Kyson

Kyson is 20 but he is our observer he watches everyone and everything to make sure were are all ok. He works at the shop with the rest of the guys also works with case with the technical stuff. 

Kayla

Kayla our princes is 18 she is in her first year of college she got into school in the next town over. She lives in the dorms Abel hates it because he can't watch her make sure she's safe. She is almost done with her first year of college we're not sure what she's going to do for the summer but she really smart and unpredictable. Her birthday is next week she won't be here I'm throwing her birthday dinner/party in two days at our house. Kayla is happy with the freedom she gets from being away but still close enough that if she needs us she can just call and no mater what well come. Also being able to talk to boys is a major plus with her over protective dad and brothers. They were never good with the boys aspect of growing up.  

Knox 

Knox he is 16  turning 17 but looks like he's 25  just got his license he wanted a bike with that of course Abel couldn't say no to but he won in the end he also got a car to drive for the the bad weather days here, smart little shit. He skipped a grade he is crazy smart, but he is my sensitive child he is going through some personal stuff lately, I'm not sure to be worried or not. He is doing good in school he's been skipping some classes but he's still passing all his classes. 

Aweek before he was brought home for the 3rd time by the cops in the middle of the night. Of course we weren't upset there teenagers we were mad because we got woke up at 4 A.M. Abel had a straight face and the cops were terrified to realize who's house they were at and who they woke up, bringing him home because they had been drinking and smoking, we said we would deal with it they ran back to there cars and Abel started laughing hysterically walking in to the house as we sat on the couch, I asked him what him and his friends were doing. He didn't lie he said he took a few hits off a joint he wasn't even high, which I believe he can smoke quit a bit we didn't take care if they smoked or drank, they know there limits. 

He blushed looked at his hands after a minute looked up said "Mom I only smoked a-little bit I didn't drink I wanted to drive home which now we have to go pick up my bike at the lake tomorrow because it's still in the damn parking lot stupid idiots." with frustration "anyways everyone one else was plastered having sex and drinking I swear." He looks at me that whole statement was just for me we always told our kids to tell us the truth it'll be better in the long run and they like there freedom and we give it to us unless they lie to us.

All Abel said was "don't get caught" with a smile stood up walked to the stairs and said "Your bike is on lock down for two weeks and oh you have to drive the car and Chauffeur Kyser to and from school and work. That's for getting me woke up at 4 A.M." I kissed Knox's cheeks and said "go to bed, I'll see you in the morning"  walked upstairs.

Knox

Kyser is my hellion he is 15 and crazy smart he skipped a grade and is graduating a year early he works at the shop after school, he is never home but to eat and sleep. I'm surprised that he hasn't asked to prospect early I'm sure Abel would've told me if he did. He kinda reminds me of Hawk always making jokes, with a big mouth always has something to say.

Carson senior bought a house in North Carolina so he could see the kids when he visits he retired 5 years ago he travels a-lot. He'll be her today or tomorrow for Kayla's birthday. He is an amazing grandpa I'm glad he's there for them. 

10 years after Carson went to jail I got a letter from him asking for forgiveness to not only me but to the kids as well. I never told Abel about it I didn't want to upset him. He asked when he got out if he could meet or see the kids if not he would understood. He said he need to at least try and ask, I never wrote him back I was so shocked and frozen that he even wrote at all. I though about a lot over the years It'll be there decision to make their able to make it, I can't make it for them. 

Abel is still the love of my life Always making me feel like a queen.
