Jealous Kronii

Umbrella

It's raining outside while the council is about to end their meeting. Right after the chairman of the Council, Hakos Baelz, finally decided to end their meeting and catch up with a new schedule. After organizing the schedule, they were all dismissed. Sana and Fauna going home together, sharing an umbrella. They live separately but Sana happens to not have her own umbrella so Fauna offered her to walk her home. In the other hand, the same thing happened to Kronii. Luckily, the couple lived together and Mumei happens to bring an umbrella that fits for two.

Kronii waited for the owl to arrive at the exit since Mumei was still with Baelz, finishing up with their things. The owl arrived not for too long with Baelz. The rat looked for her umbrella in her bag but she didn't have it. The rain was so sudden that everyone thought it was going to be sunny that they left their umbrellas at home. Mumei can be forgetful but she never goes out with an umbrella, just in case.

Baelz: "Bruh, why did it rain today? The news didn't mention anything about this."

Mumei: "They probably forgot."

Baelz: "Then I guess I'll have to run to go home."

Mumei: "Won't you call Irys?"

Baelz: "No because I can go home without her. Plus, she have some "business."

The two had conversation while Mumei was picking up her umbrella as Baelz prepared herself to get showered by the rain. Kronii closed the glass door behind them and walked towards Mumei with confidence. Baelz couldn't get off where she was standing because of some important papers in her bag. Mumei, completely ignoring her girlfriend, put down the umbrella and took her phone.

Mumei: "I'll call you a cab if you can't."

Baelz: "You didn't have to, Mumeishi."

Mumei: "I insist."

Baelz: "Fine, thanks. I'll give you a refund tomorrow, don't worry!"

Mumei: "It's fine."

Mumei patted the short rat and gave her a smile and got smiled back. Kronii got silent by Mumei ignoring her. She did try to get an attention but Balez was there, stealing Mumei's attention. Kronii let out a big sigh and stayed silent until they get home. The couple only walked since their house is not very far away from the building. They got home but Kronii's shoulder was soaking wet. Did the owl wanted the umbrella only for herself? Even Kronii doesn't know.

As they got back from the building to their apartment where they live together, Mumei folded the umbrella and put it behind the door where the other umbrella was. After removing their shoes and changing it to indoor slippers, Kronii took Mumei's hand and put it on her neck as she locked her on the wall. She stared at her for a second, wanting the owl to say something to her. Confused, Mumei took her hand off Kronii's neck.

Mumei: "Is everything okay, Kronii?"

Kronii scoffed and a frown formed on her face, brows narrowed.

Kronii: "Does my face say everything is okay?"

Kronii sarcastically said, closing her face to Mumei's who is confused and nervous. Mumei looked at her with mouth slightly open. After scanning Kronii's face, the owl could only say "no." Kronii couldn't help the owl's density anymore. She let go of Mumei and walked inside their room. Mumei entered their room and saw Kronii covered in blanket. She walked towards her and sat on the bed.

Mumei: "Are you sick? I noticed you shoulder was wet, I thought you caught cold."

Kronii: "I'm fine."

Muffled, but Mumei knew she wasn't well. She crawled on the bed to turn Kronii to face her. Kronii hid her face under the blanket which made Mumei chuckle. The owl discovered Kronii's soft side which she liked. Mumei wanted to see Kronii's face so she removed the blanket but had a little fight. Kronii doesn't want to let Mumei see her.

Mumei: "Kronii~"

Kronii: "No."

Mumei: "Come on, let me see your beautiful face~"

Kronii blushed under the blanket and turned around.

Kronii: "No is no, Mumei."

Mumei awed and wondered why Kronii has been like this ever since they got home. Mumei couldn't think of anything so she just asked Kronii.

Mumei: "Why are you like this today, Kronii?"

Kronii: "That's so straight up question Mumei."

Mumei: "But I just want to know. Is it something about me? Are you jealous? Are you sick?"

Kronii: "The second question."

Mumei: "What? What was my second question?"

Kronii groaned at Mumei forgetting what she said seconds ago. Kronii got out of the blanket and looked at the owl. She crawled towards the owl and hugged her. The owl hugged her back and patted her head.

Kronii: "You've been hanging out with Bae a lot lately. You barely payed attention to me."

Mumei chuckled at Kronii words. They fell on bed and started cuddling each other.

Mumei: "I didn't know you could be this jealous over a rat."

Mumei didn't hear any response from the warden. The owl looked at the warden's face and saw her eyes closed. Kronii fell asleep on Mumei's arms. Her head on Mumei's chest, her arms around Mumei's waist, mouth slight open.

Mumei: 'We haven't took a bath, you silly.'

Mumei thought to herself but decided not to bother the warden. The rain stopped pouring, the sun shone bright and the rays hit them. Mumei closed her eyes and let Kronii snuggle to her.
