The early morning sun bleeds into the hallway through glass windows, painting the walls with colors. Students slowly filled the space as everyone headed to class. Among said students was [name] Sakuniou.

The student of one of the better schools in Sumeru. He was mostly there due to his parents’ wish to go to a good school so he can have a good tool set for life. [Name] has decided to indulge them, since he was never told to have perfect grades, just passing.

Which he did, in fact, his history grades are so good that he feels okay with slipping from the crowd as his sandy jacket blends with the old walls. [e/c] eyes scan the strangers as he slips away like a snake between rocks.

The building's hallways slowly become lonely again, the earlier chatter now gone as classes have started. [Name] takes the bag off of his shoulders, pulling the jacket from his back as he walks on the streets of Sumeru.

He strolls inside the store, a grin that could rival a bidder that won. The man gives him a look, "Aren't you supposed to be in school, classes start in about ten minutes." "They started twenty minutes ago, thank you very much.”

He opens a cooler, taking the glass bottle from inside. He brushes the arm he grabbed the bottle with against his pants. “Gee, do you get new cryo slimes every day or something? They’re always so powdery.”

The pink liquid dishes against the bottle, cold glass makes his hands feel like he is holding a cyro slime in the palm of his hand. He reaches into his pocket, dropping the coins on the desk. “You have the best strawberry milk, you know that, Pranay?” Said man lets out an airy laugh, putting his glasses on as he sorts through some mail. “Compliments won’t get you a discount, Sakuniou.”

[Name] groans, a playful smile on his lips. “But mister Pranay, I’m so cute and nice. I also buy it every day, I’m a regular!” “You will be a regular at the principal’s office if you don’t start getting to your classes in time. Now get out of here, I know you forgot a book or something. I don’t need you complaining about the teacher scolding you again. Check your homework or something.”

“You wound me. But fine, I will leave since I’m obviously not welcomed. Goodbye Pranay. Have a good day.” He uncapped the bottle, drinking the milk. “Goodbye [Name], don’t get into too much trouble.” His only response was a lazy wave as the student walked away, uninterested in speaking to him anymore.

The [h/c] haired male drank from the bottle, watching it empty little by little. He was sad to see his favorite drink go, but he knew it would happen sooner or later. And he has always been bad at being patient.

The drink is gone by the time he gets to his dorm. It’s not a very decorative room, the only personal items being the clothes on the chair and some junk and books on the work desk. He drops the empty bottle in the trash can — almost wincing at the sound of it making contact with the wood, the noise paralleling the otherwise dead-silent room. He sits on his bed, the mattress deepening under the weight of his backpack as he places it next to him. He rummages through it, checking the messy writing on his arm for the classes he’d be matching the books to. He checks again, seeing his math folder missing.
