I try to remember what I thought before
Your patience,
Your kindness,
How gentle you are,
I wonder what I thought about that.

I remember what I told you,
Again and again.
I regret it now,
For I feel like a liar
Because you have evoked fascination in me.

Your hand around my waist.
Your mouth is on mine.
A chaste connection.
You breathe your air into my lungs.

One kiss,
Then another,
And another until
They've overtaken my thoughts.

I become lost in your movements,
Become lost in your voice,
Become lost in you,
Until it comes to an end
And we return to peace.

I hold you and forget who I am.
I forget what I look like.
I forget where I am.
Everything else in the world fades to nothing.

I prefer it that way.
That fear turned to a memory.
Replaced with something superficial,
Leaving behind a confident emotion.
