TW: Mentions of blood and violence but it isn't that major :D

Bennett was in trouble. Surrounded by hilichurls, and he couldn't do anything because his sword has been snapped in half by an abyss mage. He didn't know what to do, nobody was nearby in Wolvendom to save him.

He didn't want to yell for help, he would lure the wolves over to him. He tried to run, but they were cornering him. He wouldn't accept fate, he ducked away and started to run again, panting and groaning in pain from his wounded leg. It had been cut by one of the training stands, and blood was slowly dripping down and seeping into the grass. He wiped his teary eyes and kept running, stumbling on his right leg weakly.

Eventually, he had run so far that the forest's trees completely blocked all sunlight, he couldn't see a thing. The hilichurls were long gone, they had gotten lost looking for him and returned to base, but he didn't know that and kept running.

"Hello?" He whimpered nervously, if the wolves were going to attack him so be it. He couldn't escape them anyways. He ran, and he ran, taking resistant breaks and biting his fingernails worriedly.

He collapsed onto a tree branch, he couldn't move anymore. His bruised arms were now covered with fresh new cuts from the forest around him, and his legs had give in from miles of running.

Everything was blurry, the cones in his eyes resting finally as he fell unconscious on a pile of summery-green leaves.

Waking up, he saw a flash of light blue run past him, gathering random forest herbs. "W-where am I? Who ar-" The man squatted down to talk to him, knowing his legs were too weak to sit up or stand. "I am Razor. You... sleep on leaf. I take care of you." Razor tenderly smeared a batch of Manuka honey and lavender oil onto his cut, cupping his cheek when the scratched-up boy winced in pain.

"Stay... still. I take care of you." He blushed a little, not used to companionship or this much personal attention. "So... um... I didn't tell you my name.. did I? I'm Bennett." Razor continued wrapping up his cuts with honeydew and common forest vines, shooing off nearby bugs and reptiles.

Once Bennett could stand, Razor escorted him to Barbara so she could heal the leftover scars.

"Goodness! What happened this time, Bennett..."

"I'll- uhhh... It's a long story. I just need a second."

He walked over to Razor and gave him a hug. No explanation, but Razor had never felt so happy. Raised by wolves, he didn't learn much about friends or... whatever feeling this was, but he felt loved. Bennett brushed back his hair softly and waved goodbye, laughing like the moment was just a fun little joke.

"I'd love another joke from you, don't forget me."
