Humphrey was a mboi tui sunbathing on a rock in the wetlands. Unlike other mboi tuis, he didnt find himself to be intimidating. He didnt have a frightening look like the others, but rather a soft gentle look that would sometimes tear into a wide variety of emotions. His loud squawks that are supposed to bring alarm to others always sounded like a sick deflating frog, which instead cracked others up. Despite trying to fix himself up, he would stay the way he is and would just learn to accept himself like that. But his skills in fighting are applauded by a few.

Even if he has some imperfections or perfections, he would still gladly serve as the defenders of the aquatic creatures and the wetlands and swamps, which of course are his homes. Hed lift his head over to a fellow mboi tui in the distance slithering in the murky waters. Seeing the direction they were going, he had a guess that they were notified to be on some sort of duty. He plopped his head back down onto the wet rock. He felt a little nudge. His gaze averting to the left, he could see Delta peeking over, before seeing that he had noticed him. On break? Delta questioned as they slithered, with the help of his two limbs onto the wet rock and laid beside Humphrey. Yeah, but I want to do something crazy. It gets a little boring always being at the wetlands or swamps and just patrolling and defending here- No, no Im not trying to say I dont want to defend our home- you get the point. Humphrey muttered, looking at Delta. Delta blinked, thoughtfully thinking. Well, theres not much going on with the aquatics at the moment- Hey, after the previous mboi tui- Sereia! Finish their duty at where the aquatics are, youre supposed to go there next. He informed. Humphrey blinked. I would love to, yes. He sighed with a smile. But while were both on break, lets talk about the humans. Delta lowered their voice in a whisper. Humans. The creatures whom the humans called them myths had always a connection with them. Not a good one, a pretty bad one according to history.

Two portals separate the human world and the myth world. In order to enter the other portal, you have to be suited for that specific world. If your body isnt suited for that world, then your chances of dying are very high. Unless youre wearing some legit equipment or are special then you might be able to thrive.

What is there to talk about humans? Humphrey shrugged. I dont know.. The fact theyre nasty? Delta snickered. Humphrey rolled his eyes. His friend would always bicker about humans if he is given the chance to, sometimes doing long rants that can last for hours. Eh. He shrugged as he laid his head back down. What are you so quiet for right now? He tilted his head. I can tell you want to rant again. He yawned. What- No- Of course not, maybe a little, but not enough to tear your ears off. He admitted. You always say that. Humphrey fiddled with a pebble by using his beak to move it. Well- Delta was cut off by something rippling in the murky waters. Humphrey lifted his head up, seeing Sereia look at them with a frown, eyeing them both, before opening their mouth. Every defender is needed at where the aquatics are, theres a strange discovery found by one of our protectors. Sereia told them in a monotone voice.
