"So that's all I need to propose."
...
"So, ma'am, do you approve this plan?"
"Ma'am?"
"Go back to your senses, Avrienne.."
"Ma'am?"
"Please.."
"Miss Hernandez."
"Yen.."
"Miss Hernandez."
My senses finally woke up as I unconsciously said,
"Oh, yes. I approve this. And let's adjourn this meeting now."
I observed everyone while they're busy gathering their stuffs to leave and I turned the projector off before leaving as well. Some are smiling, some are not, and some have an unreadable expression.
I returned back to my office and sat down the swiveling chair while in deep thoughts.
"I need to rest." I exhaustedly whispered to myself and went to the garage to get my car.
I was about to go inside the car when I noticed that one of the tires of my car was flat. I sighed in annoyance and had no choice but to call a repair service.
Later on, I saw myself at the middle of an empty road with no one else but me. I started walking slowly, gently taking the peacefulness inside me.
As I was walking, it started getting cold. I hugged myself and continued walking until I felt a presence behind me. I didn't bother looking at my back and just focused on how peaceful this scene is. The presence I felt started getting intense as if it is getting near at me, but I barely cared.
And finally, this presence hugged me. It somehow feels nostalgic— as if I'm meeting an old friend. I didn't care whoever this person is until I felt a sense of curiosity. I looked up to see who it is, and it shocked me.
I started sobbing quietly while hugging the person back for a while until I felt another presence shouting,
"Avrienne!"
And then I looked back.
