Today you had mythology class at ten. Luckily it was your only class for the day. You head to the classroom though there was still another thirty minutes before it started because you wanted an early run-in.

"Eren, your grades dropped by a lot last semester and you're already not focusing in class. If you keep this up, you won't be able to stay here."

"It's not any of your business Erwin. I know you're a friend of my parents, but I don't need your concern."

On your way in, you could make out two voices engaged in a conversation though you couldn't quite hear what it was about. The room was empty minus Eren, your professor, and now you.

Yikes, you thought. The conversation looked important. Both pairs of eyes landed on you.

"I could come back later."

"No need Miss Y/n", says Professor Smith. "You may take your seat if you're ready."

You give a small nod and take the same seat you did on Wednesday. Today, Eren chose to sit in the far back of the class as there were many more open seats than the last time.

You tapped away on your phone, just to occupy time while students were coming in. Once everyone was settled and the professor stood up from his seat, you put your phone away and pull out your laptop.

"There seems to be a lot of new students this year. More than I've had in a while. I know it's only your first week but, I'll be assigning a project."

The simultaneous groans and whines could probably have been heard a mile away from the classroom. You agreed with them. A teacher that gives projects and it's only the first week. Red flag in your book. Professor Smith definitely seemed like the type to assign unnecessary work.

"Settle down. The point of this project is to build teamwork. I want you to choose a myth. It can be any type of myth, whether it's Greek, Roman, Norse, just choose any myth, research it, and make a presentation. It doesn't have to be any longer than five to seven minutes."

"I'm allowing you to choose your partners, but I'd prefer you to work with someone you don't know much about", Erwin continues. "I'm giving you guys two minutes to find yourself someone to work with."

Students were walking all around the classroom, pairing themselves up with their friends rather than people they didn't care for despite their professor's instructions.

Being social was not your strong suit. You stayed in your seat, not bothering to look for a partner. If someone came up to you and asked, you'd agree. Not that anyone did.

"Is there anyone without a partner?", Erwin asks his class.

A few students raised their hands, you included. Erwin grouped the students together, then was left with you. It seemed you were the only person left without a partner. To be honest, you preferred to work by yourself on this as you didn't know anyone.
