Marinette's Real Name?!

( Note: This is not canon! This is a headcanon of mine born from my ADD mind that got bored once and decided to translate Marinette's name. Most of the video is talking in Chinese however I am putting the translations next to them so you know what is being said. All translations were found on google translate! If you are Chinese or Asian, I promise I'm not being racist. In fact I found researching for this chapter was really fascinating. To the other readers: Paying respect to the ancestor's is a Buddhist practice which is one of the more common religions in Asia. This is meant as not racist or disrespectful towards another religion)

" Marinette's real name?!" Max yelled.

" Huh?!" Exclaimed literally everyone but Marinette. Marinette only motioned her head towards the screen indicating they should just watch to find out.

" Are you trying to say Marinette isn't your real name?!" Alya demanded. " You are so not the girl I thought you were!"

" It's so unfair! She calls me a liar when she's been lying this whole time!" Lie-la fake cried. Seriously how do they not know her crying is fake?! Cue eye-rolls from Adrien, Marinette, Kagami, Luka, Alix, Marc, Nath, Jean, Aurore and Mirelle.

" JUST WATCH THE DAM VIDEO!" Swiftie yelled. As a sensitive human being due to childhood bullying and a girl ( a rare percent since it's common in boys but rare in girls)with Asperger syndrome a form of autism that messes with both her social and educational activities and behaviors, Swiftie did not tell Lila to shut up for fear she would be yelled at by the miraculous class.

[ Scene is one month later at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Adrien and Marinette are seen walking out of the terminal]

" So, who's supposed to be picking us up?" Adrien asked.

" Zumu, Zufu and Gugu." Marinette replied ( Translation: Grandmother, Grandfather and Aunt)

" Yángméi, zhè biān!" A 21 year old girl who looked almost exactly like Marinette yelled. ( Translation: Yang Mei, over here!)

" Shū wēi āyí!" ( Translation: Aunt Shu Wei!)( ps this is Bridgette but her name is translated as Shu Wei)

" Anata no honmyō wa yanmeidesu ka?" Kagami asked. ( Translation: Your real name is Yang Mei?)

" Shì de, duìbùqǐ, wǒ méiyǒu gàosù rènhé rén. Dāng wǒmen zài fàguó shí, wǒ de fùmǔ tóngyì wǒ de míngzì jiāng shì mǎlǐ nèi tè." ( Yes, sorry i didn't tell anyone. my parents agreed my name would be marinette when we are in france.)

" Wait, you can understand each other? But Kagami is Japanese and Marinette is Chinese."

" Adrien, Shanghai may be in China but it's close to Japan, you do know that right?" Kagami asked with a deadpan expression.

" Is no one going to point out Marinette's name is Yang Mei?" Kim asked as the only other Asian person in the room besides Marinette and Kagami.

" My parents thought it would be easier to call me Marinette while we are in France, but back home in Shanghai, I go by my legal name." Marinette explained.

" Beautiful Ocean, that's a perfect name for the most perfect girl." Adrien sighed. At this Marinette blushed and pushed his face away.

" Kàn kàn nǐ shì rúhé chéngzhǎng de!" Shu Wei gushed. ( Translation: Look how you've grown!)

" Nǐ zhǐ bǐ wǒ dà sì suì, shū wěi." ( Translation: You are only 4 years older than me, Shu Wei)
