My grandmother says that thousands of years ago, our country was ruled by war. Hordes upon hordes of cruel and vicious people slaughtered one another, for no reason other than to kill. For years, humanities' only purpose was bloodshed. But then, through evolutionary might and possibly divine intervention, we reached a peace.

On this day, one thousand years ago, in what was once the country of England, five victors from across the globe met to discuss an end to the wars. All five had emerged victorious from one of the five continents - Europe, Asia, South America, North America, and Africa. The five decided to honor the past with The Hunt.

Every five years, there would be 100 contenders to fight and re-enact the glorious battle of their past, forever an homage to their roots. They would be taken to the Abandoned Place - a huge island south of Asia - and fight for as long as it took for five to remain. An epic and fair and deadly battle between those from all walks of life. But not just a slaughter; a chance to play, to learn, and to win, in the worlds' greatest arena.

A great honor, a great sacrifice.

The Hunt.
