from a scratch on the knee or a black eye from face planting into the ground, youve seen alot of his injuries.
so you are 100% willing to help him clean up his cuts and bruises
however if he gets seriously hurt like he breaks bone or has a concussion your gonna tell his mom to keep an eye on him.
you'll be freaking out about him needing urgent rest and strict on him not skating for awhile

while reki started teaching him how to skate you noticed he fell often and those falls ended up leaving bruises and cuts. you never got used to seeing him like that because you had always seen langa as this soft delicate angel and seeing him hurt would make you freak out. even if its not a serious wound you already have the paramedics on the phone saying
"omg991mybffellsendhelphesgonnadie"
scrambling your words together because how fast your speaking.
but no matter how much he reassured you hes fine seeing him fall off his board still gives you anxiety.

he never lets you help when hes hurt....
is what it used to be like, but now? he will let you help a little just don't smother him and treat him like a little kid and hes down.
he never says anything while your cleaning up his cuts or wrapping a band aid for him, and he has to make sure you two are completely alone before thanking you properly

he never actually needs your help because he can usually do it himself BUT he loves when you two sit together and help tend to his wounds. its time alone together he really enjoys

it doesn't matter how hurt he is he will call you, tell you he got badly injured skating just so you can "tend to the wounds" that arent even there
a piss poor excuse to get you to go to his house, but it works-

100% lies about being hurt so you can nurse him back to health

he always lets you help him, it makes him feel special especially since you two aren't a couple yet. you always show him your soft and caring ways and it melts his heart, its just him about to cry cause how adorable you are
