"I want to hold you so much,"
"I think I have everything," my brother says nervously. Before this moment he kept rambling about whether he'd rather be in Slytherin or gryffinfor. Personally I don't really care about what house I get in, though I wouldn't want to disappoint my sister. I always looked up to her. She said whatever house I got in that I would never disappoint her
"You'll be fine Miguel," Samantha says. "Though if you do forget something you will be expelled," hoping to get him scared which she succeeded. Miguel was always the one to overthink things. So saying this made him way more nervous
"WHAT," my brother says catching people's attention. "Then I'll have to make sure I have everything," he says then continues to ramble looking at everything on his trolly. I look at him then laugh.
"Oh Miguel she just joking with you," my mom says sweetly.
My mom has always had a sweet voice. She used to sing to me and Miguel at night which we loved. Though recently she stopped coming to our room and singing to us
"Oh good I think I forgot clean underwear," he says still looking in his luggage.
"That's gross," I say scrunching up my nose trying not to laugh. Miguel always came up with funny jokes though I don't think this was one.
"Never mind I found one," he says holding a bright neon green underwear with purple polkadots in the air. I look around and see many people looking at Miguel's hands in the air holding the underwear snickering.
"Oh Miguel," my mom says smiling while shaking her head. "Okay Samantha you go first,"
As Samantha hears what my mom said she quickly ran through the brick wall going to platt form 9 3/4. While I was still looking at the brick wall my mom said it was my turn.
I took really deep breaths, in and out Lorelei I tell myself.
"Why can't Miguel go first," I say looking at Miguel hoping he would just go without a argument.
"Stop being a baby Lorelei," my brother says rolling his eyes at me.
"Your one to talk," I say looking at him up and down
"Hey!," he says offended by what I said though it was true. He was always scared of the tiniest things. Like one time we were playing outside and a ant bit him, he was crying like a baby. That was last year.
"How about y'all go together," my mom suggested.
We then look at each other and shrug maybe it won't be as bad as going alone.
"Okay Lori on 3," Miguel says slowly counting down. Lori was a nickname for people who couldn't really pronounce my name. Miguel likes calling me that because he says it's a shorter and easier way to say my name.
"3.....2.....1," Miguel counts down as we both start running towards the brick wall. Surprisingly it was less scary going together. As we made it to 9 3/4 we turn and see my mom going through the wall as well.
"Okay you guys have a safe trip," my mom says looking at the both of us.
"I hope we have a safe trip," my brother says furrowing his eyebrows.
