It was like any other day for you, wake up, go to classes, repeat. Though this time, you stayed after classes to meet up with your best friend, Caleb, you've been friends with him since, well, since forever. You could always trust him to be by your side no matter what happens.
He's asked to meet you after classes at the local library because he, quote on quote, "found you the perfect boyfriend~" Of course, you understand he's only trying to help, but you weren't the biggest fan of getting a boyfriend at the moment, you were too wrapped up in your studies and student debt to really care or even have time for one. Not that you didn't want one, you truly did but, for your own futures sake you go against the idea, maybe in the future after college. I mean, it is your last semester before leaving this hell hole college. This might be the only reason you're happy to be 23.
As you walk through the streets of your campus, you breathe in the crisp October air, the faint sound of crunching leaves could be heard as you walk, nearing the library the smell of pumpkin spice intoxicates you, flowing into your lungs. You always loved that smell, it reminded you of your mothers infamous pumpkin pie, oh how you miss her. You had to move the whole way to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. All for college.
You opened the library doors, the sound of a bell following close behind. There sat Caleb with a toothy grin on his face as he spotted you, waving you over to his table. You walked over and took a seat right in front of him. Almost immediately, he slid his phone over to you. It had a picture of a man around your age, he had silky dark brown hair that was paired with sideburns and thick eyebrows, his eyes were the same dark brown as his hair, he had a slim pale face and defining cheekbones. His light pink lips had a lit cigarette in between them.
"So? What do you think?" Caleb flashed you a grin, laying his hand upon his chin. If you were being honest to yourself, he was quite attractive.
"He's good looking but I've already told you, I'm not looking for anyone." You responded, sliding his phone back to him, he rolled his eyes taking it, setting it in his pocket.
"Oh come on, Y/N! At this rate you're going to die alone!" Putting emphasis on the word die. You rolled your eyes playfully and waved your hand.
"Nonsense," he stared you dead in the eyes, chills going down your spine, "w-what?!" you mentally cursed yourself for stuttering as your voice rises in pitch.
"Just at least go on one date with him. He's perfect for you!" You guess he really does want you to go out with this guy. You sighed and motioned him to continue.
"He's an introvert, lives in a cute cabin and has a degree in photography." He read from his phone, clearly reading some script or bio, after, he shoots you a pair of googly eyes. You chuckled.
"Wait, he's already out of college? How old is this guy? What's his na-" Caleb cut you off by reaching over the table and placing a finger over your lips. After you stopped your rambling, he moved away and cleared his throat.
"First his name is Tim. Secondly yes, he just finished up. And, lastly he's 24." You let out a quiet 'oh' looking away to see a quick flash of yellow run across the library window, you shrugged it off as someone running by.
"Well, let's get going, I'm starving!" You complained, Caleb nodded and stood up, moving his chair back into the table, you followed his movements and walked out of the library. Caleb was a few inches taller than you and much more built. Both of you were blasted with the windy pumpkin spice scent from earlier. Before you knew it, the two of you were at a peaceful café. Turns out the library was right next to the café, that explained the pumpkin spice scent.
