Hallow's War

And so, the clock ticked...

Everyone is panicking. No one can believe what's happening. Is the world gonna end or is humanity gonna win against Satan's army? This all came outta nowhere.

Johnny: "What do we do now?"
Zack: "We're all gettin' into the van and bustin' outta here! Faaar away from this shit!"
Jackson (to Zack): "To where?! The whole world's gonna be screwed, there's nowhere to go!"
Marin: "If our Halloween costumes are actually gonna become real, maybe we need to fight!"
Zack (to Marin): "HELL NAH, I AIN'T STAYIN' HERE!"
Jared: "Yeah we gotta go!"
Logan: "Definitely not staying!"
Justin: "WE CAN'T HIDE FROM THIS!"
Zack runs outside to the van. Johnny follows him.
Zack: "Lemme see them keys, Johnny!"
Johnny: "Fine! But if we're going anywhere, let's at lea-"
Johnny reaches into his pocket to grab the van keys, but instead pulls out a piece of paper. He doesn't recall having this piece of paper in his pocket.
Johnny: "What is this?"
Zack: "Huh?"
Johnny unfolds the piece of paper.
Johnny (reading the paper): "Humanity has eleven minutes and six seconds to prepare for the invasion."
Zack: "Wait..." He ruffles his left pocket. "I got a note too!"
Johnny: "What does it say?"
Zack: He skims the paper. "...Bruh it says the same thing!"
Johnny: "Does everyone have this note?"
Ethan runs out of the house to see Johnny.
Ethan: "Johnny look at this!"
Ethan is showing Johnny the same note.
Zack: "Yeah we both got that!"
Johnny: "I think everyone does..."
Daniel and Logan are both exiting the house too.
Ethan: "Daniel, Logan, the three of us got this piece of paper saying that we got like eleven minutes to get ready for this whole thing. You guys have it too?"
Daniel reaches into his pants pocket underneath the plastic armor of his costume.
Daniel: "Holy shit... yeah I got one here!"
Logan also finds a note in his pocket.
Logan: "How in the world did these get in our pockets?"
Daniel (to Logan): "I'm wondering that too."
Zack: "It's gotta be that Satanic shit."
Daniel: "Wait, how long ago did this start? We definitely don't have more than ten minutes now!"
Ethan: "We're already in our costumes. By now we should be fine, as long as we know our powers."
Daniel: "Know our powers?! You're literally Harry Potter! How are you supposed to know magic?!"
Ethan: "I..."
Logan: "All I gotta do is bite my hand to turn into my Titan form. And even without that I got my ODM gear to fly around with."
Ethan (to Logan): "I gotta admit that is pretty cool."
Zack: "I mean at least Johnny here actually made the character he's dressed up as, like he knows what's up."
Johnny: "Okay but I'm pretty sure Ethan has read all the Harry Potter books, right?"
Ethan: "Yeah like I know his spells and stuff, I can just cast, uh, something."
Johnny: "And you, Zack?"
Zack: "Imma just punch the hell outta them!"
Johnny: "Daniel?"
Daniel: "I've only shot a gun once. But maybe the supercomputer inside my helmet will help me aim or something."
Logan: "Aimbot in real life."
Johnny: "Wait, where's Justin?"
Zack: "Justin is still inside I think."
Johnny, Ethan, Zack, and Daniel go back inside Marin's house to find Justin. They see him sitting on the couch comforting his crying girlfriend.
Justin (to Sophia): "I won't let anything happen to you babe..."
Ethan: "It's best that we get outta here, Justin. We gotta stay as a group."
Justin: "Where would we go, Ethan?"
Johnny (to Justin): "Well there's about to be literal Hell on Earth in a few minutes. It's best that we team up together because we're all friends and we kinda know our powers to an extent."
Justin (to Sophia): "Do you wanna go somewhere else?"
Sophia: "Go somewhere else? I just want to be alive!"
Justin: "You have some crazy-ass powers! And I got a machine gun! Look I don't play Genshin Impact but whatever character you're dressed as I'm pretty sure she's powe-"
Sophia: "Damn it, just... let's go."
Johnny: "All of us need to stick together."
Ethan: "You're right. I'd rather be teaming with people I know."
Jared: "The power of friendship?"
Zack: "Nah, the power of kicking demon ass."
Daniel (to Jared): "I swear Jared that's the corniest shit I've ever heard you say."
Johnny: "Awesome, now let's get everyone else."
Johnny assesses how many people are in the group right now.
Johnny: "So we have Justin, Sophia, Jared, Ethan, Daniel, Zack..."
Jared: "Wait, where is Ryan?"
Johnny: "Oh my gosh, yeah where is Ryan?"
Justin: "I think Ryan got a call from his mom and he went upstairs."
Johnny: "You guys get to the van."
Zack: "Can I get them keys now?"
Johnny tosses Zack the keys to the van.
Johnny: "Warm it up until Ryan and I get there. We'll be quick."
Johnny goes upstairs to see Ryan. He finds him in the upstairs bathroom.
Johnny: "Ryan!"
Ryan (on the phone): "Just go into the basement mom, and stay quiet. I know it all sounds so crazy, but if the whole costume thing is true, then I can come to save you. I'm much closer to you than dad is since dad is all the way in Brenton County. I'll see you when I, uh, get my new powers. Love you."
Ryan hangs up the phone.
Ryan: "What are you gonna do?"
Johnny: "The other guys and I are gonna stick together as a group, but I'm guessing you're gonna be with your mom."
Ryan: "My mom isn't dressed up as anything so I need to protect her. My dad is at another Halloween party down in Brenton County."
Johnny: "I get it. Stay safe out there."
Ryan: "You too, all of us need some crazy luck right now."
As Johnny and Ryan are walking downstairs, a strong feeling pulsates in their brain.
Johnny: "Ugh, what the heck is going on?"
Ryan: "I don't know, I-"
A flash of light hits Johnny and Ryan's eyes. The strength of the flash knocks the two to the ground.
Johnny: "Damn it! That really hurt!"
Ryan: "Yeah I have no ide- ...wait, do you think..."
Johnny: "Ryan..."
Johnny notices that Ryan's lightsaber hilt no longer has a fake plastic blade.
Johnny: "Look at your lightsaber..."
Ryan raises the hilt of his lightsaber.
Ryan: "No way..."
Ryan flips the switch on the hilt, igniting the bright green blade.
Ryan: "IT'S ACTUALLY REAL..."
Daniel yells from downstairs.
Daniel: "GUYS! LOOK!"
Johnny and Ryan run downstairs and see Daniel holding the Auto-9 pistol. The visor on his helmet is glowing red, implying that it's fully functional.
Ryan: "Yo watch where you're pointing that thing!"
Daniel: "I know, but check this out!"
Daniel shoots the Auto-9 pistol at the window facing the backyard. The glass shattered, but no one was hit.
Johnny: "HOLY CRAP!"
Ryan: "Does the armor work too?!"
Daniel: "Yeah, I got a full display in my eyes right now, I can see so mu-"
Marin: "CAN YOU NOT SHOOT THAT GUN IN MY HOUSE?!"
A guy dressed as Superman crash-lands into the house, creating a massive hole in the ceiling.
Superman: "...This is the best and worst day of my life!"
Johnny: "And it may be the last if we don't learn our powers quickly! How much time do we have left?"
Daniel: "Was anyone counting?"
Ryan: "It doesn't matter, let's go!"
Johnny, Ryan, Daniel, and Marin run outside the house, meeting up with the others including Zack, Ethan, Jared, Logan, Sophia and Justin.
Logan: "We don't have much time, do we?"
Ryan: "30 seconds!"
Johnny: "Get in the car!"
Ryan, Daniel, Marin, and Johnny rush into the van.
Zack is in the driver's seat.
Johnny: "Zack are you driving."
Zack: "Nah I'm gettin' out, I can't drive a stick shift!"
Johnny: "Hurry out and lemme get in!"
Zack jumps out and lets Johnny take the wheel.
Jared: "What exactly are we doing?"
Johnny: Turns the key. "We're getting away from these idiots who don't know how to use their powers! Plus we need to stick together as a group and not get caught up in other people's crap!"
The thunderous crashes of lightning bolts can be heard in the distance.
Logan: "Oh that sounds bad!"
Ethan (to Johnny): "You're somehow implying that we know how to use our powers. I seriously don't know how to cast a spell from this wand."
Daniel: "Didn't you say you knew how to cast spells earlier? Just wave it around or something!"
Ethan: "I had some second thoughts, and also that's not how it works!"
Johnny: "Hey Justin, does that machine gun of yours work?"
Justin: "Yeah, these bullets are definitely real!"
Johnny: "Well you and Daniel are gonna have to roll down the windows and start shooting stuff!"
A witch flying on a broomstick zips speedily past the car.
Logan: "HOLY CRAP!"
Daniel: "Where are the demons?"
A demon jumps onto the left side of the van.
Johnny: "AAAH, GET IT OFF!"
Marin, Sophia, Logan, Ethan, and Zack are screaming in the back seats.
Justin: "I got 'em!"
Justin fires full-auto at the demon with his machine gun. It stops moving after a little bit.
Justin: "I-I think it's dead!"
Daniel fires a small burst from his pistol into the demon's head.
Daniel: "My heads-up-display says it's dead now."
A towering obelisk rises from the ground in front of the van, forcing Johnny to swerve out of the way.
Johnny: "What in the world?!"
Looking around, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to drive. The group is surrounded, so they all get out of the car.
Ethan: "I'm gonna try to cast a spell to get us outta here."
Zack: "Ain't no way that'll work! We gotta fight!"
Ethan: "Well I'm gonna try at least!"
A portal opens up from the obelisk. Someone steps out from the portal, someone that looks like they'd be from Hell.
Unknown Being: "Greetings, Johnathan."
Johnny: "..."
Daniel: "Johnny... how does he know your name...?"
Ryan: ignites lightsaber "Listen shithead, you're gonna die!"
Unknown Being: "I am only here for Johnathan. And too bad your father will not be seeing you when I kill you, because I am sending you straight to Hell!"
The unknown being summons a battleaxe, preparing to fight.
Johnny: "I'm not gonna make that so easy for you!"
Johnny charges a razor blast in the palms of his hands, blasting it at the unknown being, knocking him down to the ground.
Unknown Being: "Agh, damn you!"
Justin uses his M60 machine gun to fire full-auto against the unknown being. Daniel shoots his pistol against him too. Marin uses her catalyst to launch lightning bolts. Ryan does his best to use the Force to prevent the unknown being from moving. All of these attacks help to incapacitate the unknown being.
Sophia can't find a way to attack the unknown being so she hides behind the van in fear.
Jared: "Damn it, I can't do anything!"
Justin: "What do you mean?"
Jared: "I mean, I'm Batman and all but..."
Jared notices a Batarang on his utility belt.
Jared: "Oh screw it!"
Jared throws a Batarang at the unknown being, but it doesn't really seem to do much.
Justin: "You want something with a little more punch? Take this here!"
Justin pulls out an M1911 pistol from his holster and throws it to Jared.
Jared: "Batman doesn't use guns!"
Justin: "DOES THAT REALLY MATTER RIGHT NOW?!"
Jared: "OKAY OKAY OKAY!"
Jared picks up the pistol and fires repeatedly at the unknown being.
Everyone's attacks make it nearly impossible for the unknown being to swing his battleaxe.
Unknown Being: "D-DAMN YOU ALL!"
Just as Johnny is about to launch another razor blast, Logan transforms into Eren Jaeger's Titan form and grabs the unknown being.
Unknown Being: "STOP! STOOOP! STOP THIS!"
Logan is suffocating the unknown being in his hand.
Johnny: "Wait, Logan! Before you crush him, get me up there!"
Ryan: "Wait Johnny, doesn't your character fly?"
Johnny: "He does but I can't do it for some reason! I was trying to earlier!"
Logan, in Titan form, lends a hand down to Johnny, lifting him to the unknown being.
Johnny: "Tell me, who are you?"
Unknown Being: "You will get to know who I am once I send you to-"
Logan clenches the unknown being in his fist.
Unknown Being: "NNNGH... AAAAAAARGH!"
Johnny has a razor blast readied in his hand, aiming it at the unknown being's face.
Johnny: "TELL ME WHO YOU ARE!"
Unknown Being: "PLEASE..."
Johnny (to Logan): "Let go of him!"
Logan stops choking the unknown being, allowing him to catch his breath.
Johnny: "Don't get any funny ideas! I have a razor blast ready to blow your head off! And Ryan down there has you caught in the Force so you can't really move anyways! WHO ARE YOU?!"
The unknown being struggles to talk after taking such a beating.
Unknown Being: "I... am Renwick... the First Advisor to... Lucifer Almighty..."
Ryan: "You know, for a 'First Advisor' you're not as strong as I'd take you to be!"
Renwick: "My presence here on Earth significantly decreases the efficiency of my powers. I am a much better warrior in the realms beyond. I should have known to summon the other Advisors to assist me, however my encounter with you, Johnathan... it is a personal matter."
Johnny: "I heard you mention my dad earlier... what do you know about me?"
Renwick: "These are details that I cannot reveal to you in the current moment... but for now, let's just say that your father is a formidable fighter."
Daniel: "Johnny what's your dad dressed up as?"
Johnny: "My dad... he died 11 years ago!"
Marin: "I have no idea what's going on anymore."
Johnny: "Tell me everything you know about my dad! I don't care if it's some secret bullshit, I'm gonna kill you right here unless you spill it!"
Renwick takes a moment to inhale.
Renwick: "Oh Lucifer, I have failed you. I shall die a shameful death."
Johnny: "...Then so be it."
Johnny launches a razor blast through Renwick's head, killing him instantly.
Logan lowers Johnny back down to the ground.
Daniel: "I'm sorry about what happened to your dad. I never knew."
Johnny: "It's okay, I just don't like talking abou-"
A demon rushes towards the group.
A spray of bullets from another direction kills the demon as soon as Ethan was prepared to attack with his wand.
Ethan: "Justin was that you?"
Justin: "No, I don't know where that came from!"
Daniel: "Wasn't me neither!"
Looking around, they find Jackson in the Master Chief armor. Johnny remembers he had left Jackson at the house when they were escaping with the van.
Johnny: "Holy crap, Jackson I'm so sorry!"
Jackson: "Don't worry about it, I got jumped by a demon as soon as they started to appear. By the time I killed it I couldn't find any of you guys."
Ethan: "Then how did you find us here?"
Jackson: "Honestly just a coincidence. I was running in this direction."
Johnny: "Well we better get going. Let's stick together as a group and kill as many demons as we can before this timer ends."
Looking above, an actual timer is displayed in the sky. It reads "665:49:21".
Ryan: "So apparently we have 666 hours to kill every demon, right? And I think Satan said there were like 666 million demons?"
Ethan: "666 hours is about like... 27 and a half days."
Zack: "We only got a month to do all this?"
Johnny: "We're all in pretty powerful costumes, I'm sure we'll get through this in time."
Renwick's obelisk lowers back into the ground. A piece of paper sits on the ground where the obelisk once was. It reads: "TO JOHNATHAN BRAXTON, PLACE YOUR HAND HERE."
Johnny: reads the paper "Umm... should I do it?"
Ethan: "Will it help us?"
Zack: "What if it's something about your dad?"
Justin: "I don't think it's anything good."
Ryan: "Yeah it literally came from Hell, I don't think it's gonna be good at all."
Jared: "Personally I wouldn't do it if I were you."
Johnny is contemplating the decision to touch the paper or not. He's convinced he should do it.
Johnny: "...I'm gonna do it."
Johnny places his right hand on the piece of paper. The paper glows intensely and a book appears in Johnny's left hand.
Ryan: "What in the world is that?"
Johnny examines the book. The front cover says "Gates of the Underworlds".
Johnny: "This looks like it could be really useful."
Johnny flips to the first page and reads it aloud.
Johnny: "The invasion of Earth by Hell's deadliest forces has been initiated. All hope may seem to be lost. However, there is still a light at the end of this tunnel for humanity."
Ethan: "We don't have much time! Try skimming through it and find something important!"
Ryan: "Be patient dude, some of this stu-"
Ethan: "WE CAN'T BE PATIENT!"
Marin: "Both of you shut up!"
Johnny: skimming the book "Uh... here's something! It says here that there are nine portals opened across the world, each of them being a major hotspot for demons to cross from Hell to Earth. And right below that there's a map of the world with all nine portals marked."
Everyone else leans in a little closer to see the map.
Johnny: "According to this, all nine portals must be closed using a self-inflicted blood sacrifice paired with a ritual."
Jackson: "So you're telling me we gotta go around the world to do this shit?"
Ethan: "Oh my goodness..."
Daniel: "Look at this, dude. I mean, Europe, Africa, China, some islands in the middle of nowhere..."
Jackson (to Daniel): "Dude those are the Polynesian islands."
Daniel: "How was I supposed to know that?"
Jackson: "I don't know but I have an B+ in World Geo right now."
Sophia: "Traveling across the world sounds exciting."
Ethan (to Sophia): "Yeah, if we weren't getting chased by demons!"
Daniel (to Johnny): "You said something about a ritual earlier, what does that mean?"
Johnny: "Well... on the next page here it shows a list of Bible verses. Apparently I have to recite them while I, um... spill blood at the portal site, and that will close the portal."
Zack: "Yeah, you do that. I ain't doin' that shit."
Daniel: "What else does it say?"
Johnny: continues skimming "Well... here it says that once all nine portals are closed, a final portal will reveal itself, that being the gateway to Hell itself."
Logan: "Don't tell me we gotta fight Satan now."
Johnny (reading the book): "Those who enter the portal will confront the almighty overseer of Hell itself, Lucifer."
Logan: "Oh you gotta be kidding me."
Zack: "What? I'm sure we can knock out some rando named Lucifer."
Ethan (to Zack): Lucifer is Satan, dumbass!"
Zack: "For real?"
Johnny: He flips to the next page. "Johnathan Braxton, the fate of the Earth depends on your will to fight for humanity. Let your faith in God and Heaven above guide you through this war."
Ryan: "Somehow all of this is personalized just for you."
Johnny: He closes the book. "And I'm gonna find out why."
