Exercise. It means different things for different people. To me it's a release. When I run I put every thing into it. I run to forget. I run to remember. Every day when I hear the synchronized thud thud thud on that asphalt pavement a sense of satisfaction that philanthropists achieve overflows through me. I run to forget the worries and pains and sadness of the day. I run to remember the euphorias of the day however short lived.
As I said, a release.
But have you ever fallen when you were running, and then it bleeds and hurts like hell. And a tear or two escapes. The fact that running can be treacherous dons over you like a bunch of clouds before a long awaited storm. And then you conclude this fact.
As I said, a release.
But then it also dons over you that even though that pavement betrayed you. You didn't lose the war. You just lost the battle. And then you pick yourself up and run again. You run to forget. You run to remember. You run to overcome.
As I said, a release.
