Alive but alone

"Noooooo! Please I'll be good, I don't want that. Help Taki, Miki, Sai get me out of hear." Was all I heard as I woke up panting and sweating. Every night is just like this painful, miserable and deadly. A battlefield o the dead just all around you. Like a plague you can't get rid of unless you keep trying to get rid of. A disease that can't be killed. My parents left me to the hands of those vicious demons. I still hear my own screams and the faces of the brothers I loved so much. They were all in pain at least to me. My brothers loved me I guess but my parents hated us. Selling my brothers and me to an institution for the "uncureable ". A place called home to few and a graveyard to all who forsake this place. The most deadly place. My brothers escaped this horrible place but I have not. Soon my brothers will come for me and if not I'll find a way or die trying!

Raine Mesa

"Rain Mesa and Jaden Ketsumo you two are on shopping for this week. Give me your arms for the wrist bands. "

As I held out my arm I had this kind of feeling that I wanted to yank my hand away from him so that I would get injured but I knew if I did that I would have to do more "training" this week. The other boy, Jaden, wasn't new but my senpai. I heard a grunt as the wrist band was put on him. This wrist band was deadly. The slightest movement when putting it on could get you killed because of the needles on the inside of the band. If they put it on or if you moved wrong the needles could pierce your veins causing too much of blood loss or internal bleeding. But Jaden gave me a look of warning, shaking his head slightly. I swallowed and put my wrist out with as much attitude as possible and for that I got an extra tug on my arm.

As we walked down the streets chained together, we had many stare. As we were walking I heard many whispers talking. "Those children are from that prison down the road!" or "they say that those who go in their never come back the same, especially the kids." I looked around cause I hadn't have been out since April and it was December. Nothing had changed except the stares were how do I say, less hurtful and more sorrowful, filled with pity. Suddenly Jaden tugged on the chain gently, enough to get my attention. "Rai what are you thinking, you know we can't go down that way or else THEY will be on us quicker than you could scream." With that comment I looked at him fully for the first time in a long time. Pitch black hair, strait, at least it would be but the sides of his head was shave and left a mohawk spiked up. He was amazingly good looking Asian guy, tall with sharp honey colored eyes, a lite tan and the kindest smile I had ever seen. That sanctuary was no place for a guy like him. He wore a lite jacket which was navy blue, with a white t-shirt that had a black Nike symbol on it and blue jeans. He was also wearing black Jordan shoes. A perfect combination for him and many who looked, especially the girls would be interested. A man among men but as for me I mite have been mistaken as his companion, mate, lover or whatever else you call it. I had bleached blonde hair that come to the waist, when the sun touched it it turned a pretty silver, which was its natural color. Blue eyes you could compare to the Caribbean seas, skin which was a lite olive color, pretty and smooth,also a good looking Asian boy but with a girlish look all together. Which in the past, present, and the future I would be deemed as one of the most beautiful man in history or that anyone had ever seen before. Which I would be very proud but at the same time not proud at all. Suddenly he pulled me closer to him, which then I noticed that we had at least 6 inches of a height difference. "Are you alright? Are you cold, cause you don't look too good?" I looked at his honey eyes and laughed. He then smiles and takes off his jacket to put it on me. "Why do you care?" He smiled and said, "Well for one, look at what your wearing, it's pretty chilly?" I just looked away knowing full well that my attire was out of dress code for this season. I was wearing shorts that were very short and a semi tite long, sleeve, v-neck, lavander shirt which covered my entire midsection up until an inche above the shorts line. But I did have one thing of warmth and that was a beautiful scarf that Jaden bought for me my first winter here. All in all though I was dressed for summer and it was winter. After he said that he brushed away some of my hair out of my face and said with a somewhat stern look "just because you can wear anything you want today, didn't mean you could wear an out fit that could get you sick!" But as he said that, he smiled. With a little hesitation he pulled me into a heart stopping kiss. I didn't pull away like usual because we were not in the "sanctuary". I could do what ever I want with him now or more like he could do whatever he wanted with me. "Enjoying yourselves?" Said a sneering voice behind me. It made me almost slip but luckily Jaden had his arm around my waist. That voice scared me, which mite have been why Jaden spoke to him first.

"Ah, Sane, nice to see you here. What do you want?"

"Ha ha I was asked to check on the two love birds on their chore for today. And I can see why they asked. Your mate is a dangerous criminal who could kill you at any time not to mention..."

"The only person I want to kill is you!" I said as I backed deeper into Jadens arms which in return tighten. Sane laughed his creepy self to tears. "If only you could, look at you. In a heart beat I could pen you to the ground and subdue you." I knew that was true, some of it at least. I turned to face Jaden in his arms, saying "We need to leave now, please. We need to get to the Main Street quickly." "Yeah. So sorry but we have to go now and do...our chore, good bye." He turned and took my hand. Then I heard it, the one thing I dreaded to hear from Sane. "Your boyfriend won't be always be around to protect you. Just letting you know that if you slip up, i'll be there!" With that he left. I had stopped to listen but know I was kneeling in the dirt sobbing into Jaden's chest. "Don't listen to them! I won't let them hurt you." He lifted up my chin and kissed me again, then he wiped away the tears. "I love you. That's for the question earlier, about why I care about you." With that he smiled at me and he helped me up. "Let's go." With that we stepped onto Main Street and toward the market.

Chapter ends

A siren sounds in the distance. Birds chirp happily and people are singing in the square. That's what I heard as I gazed at the setting sun from our hotel balcony. It was customary for whoever does the shopping to stay over night in the city, town or whatever you wish to call it. I was somewhat happy, I guess. I mean I was away from the "sanctuary" and I was with Jaden. But I had saw Sane and he is never a good sign. Sunddenly arms were around my waist and I felt Jaden rest his head on my left shoulder. I put my hand on his head, kind of petting him which he didn't mind.

"What's the matter?"

"I don't know, I guess seeing Sane kind of frustrated me a little."

"Why are you frustrated, I thought I might be the one that's frustrated, I mean he seriously is out to get me." With that Jaden turned my face toward his and he stole a kiss. "Call the police, I've been stolen from." I joked with a smile which seemed to make him feel better. "Raine do you love me?" That question surprised me. "What do you think Jaden? I mean, I wouldn't kiss or hug just anybody and I deffenty wouldn't... Do THAT with just anybody. I'm not that kind of person." I looked at Jaden and he had a serious face on. I sighed and then smiled saying "Of course I love you, what else would it be."
