Ena was born in Daegu, South Korea. She went to Seoul with her older sister when she was 12, her older sister being 14, and auditioned in companies like YG, Pledis, SM, and Cube. Her and her sister were great performers since they were children, as to why they decided to audition. Ena got into both SM and Cube, her sister got into SM. Ena wanted to be seperated from her sister so she went to Cube instead. This was back in 2008.
