Vi couldn't believe herself.
"What am I doing?" she mumbled under her breath. Her eyes were cast down onto the cold key in her palm.
Her hands were shaking due to the cold to a point where even she couldn't supress it.
Your hoodie and scarf were drapped over her shoulder. At the end, Vi couldn't bring herself to put it on.
She knew that you never had any bad intentions but a part of her wasn't able to just...
Trust this whole thing.
A stranger showing her such kindness was something she could never dream of experiencing in the Undercity.
The only act of kindness from a stranger she normally got is being able to live for another day if she did come across someone unknown.
And most importantly, you somehow knew her name.
That fact alone just screamed suspicious in her eyes.
Yet here she was.
Standing infront of the building's door.
The very building your apartment was in.
Vi didn't know for how long she had been outside but she definitely knew that she had to get inside sooner or later.
Her entire body was tensed up and slowly but surely she could feel the pain seeping into her body as the night grew colder.
Taking a deep breath, she took your key in her hand and began to raise it towards the lock.
"What the fuck?" she frowned at her hand, which couldn't stop shaking.
Was it due to the cold or the wrecking nerves, that kept thumping throughout her body?
Deep down she knew the reason for it but decided to shake it off and finally unlock this door because frankly, her body was hurting.
Not to mention that the exhaustion and hunger was starting to kick in really hard.
After a few times of trying and cursing under her breath, she finally managed to put in the right key into the lock.
Breathing in relief, she braced herself mentally and slowly twisted the key.
The slight creaking of the door echoed off the walls of the hallway, making her wince at that.
She really didn't expect it to be louder as she wanted it to be.
As quietly as possible, she made her way into the hallway while shutting the door behind her. Wincing at the shutting sound, she began to stealthily sneak into the building. Yet it proved to be a bit of a struggle due to her shivering body but she did somehow manage to make her way to your door.

"WHAT THE-"
She quickly shut up as she got startled and nearly blinded by the sudden bright hallway lights, not wanting to wake you up with her sudden yelling.
After blinking for some time and letting her eyes adjust themselves to the light, she let out an annoyed huff.
She really needed to chill out for a bit.
Getting scared by light? What the fuck, Violet?
Ignoring her inner doubts, she continued to make her way.
