Y/N's pov
I woke up to the warm sun glistening on my face. I was glad the weather was good today because today is my favourite day of the year september 1st, the day I go back to my home. hogwarts.
Once I was fully awake I got up and got dressed. I wore some black jeans, a jumper, a pair of my favourite converse and my favourite necklace. My trunk was already in the car, so I picked up my wand and headed downstairs for breakfast.
I said good morning to my parents and Pansy (my sister) there were some pancakes on the table so I went to grab some and got into the car because we wanted to get to the platform on time.
The car journey was fun because me and Pansy were talking and telling each other about what we were looking forward to in the new school year.
'I can't believe we are starting 5th year' ~ Pansy
'I Know right, like it sounds like just yesterday we were in 1st year.' ~Y/N
After the long drive to kings cross we finally arrived at the station. We said our goodbyes and made our way to the platform. I know most people find it fun to walk through a wall but for me it is not the best feeling. I just always get anxious before going through. When we got to the wall I saw the massive group of redheads we see every year. Now here is something you should know. I am a slytherin but I have been hanging out with 'the golden trio' for the past couple of years because, well, slytherins are dicks :) I walk over to Ron and he engulfs me in a hug.

I release from the hug and look up to him, he has grown taller and alot more handsome. I had met up with the trio over the summer and might have caught some feelings for Ron but they weren't too strong so I just ignored them.
I told Ron about my fear of going through the wall and I could tell she knew I was feeling anxious. He walked over to me, leant down and whispered in my ear.
'Hey, I know how you feel about doing this. wanna go through it together?'
I could feel the butterflies in my stomach erupt. I simply nodded, walked over to his trolley and held onto the handle. He put his hand on top of mine and I relaxed a bit. Then we ran through. I felt so relieved that it was over and quickly thanked Ron :)
We waited a while before we met up with the others, said some hellos and made our way to the train. It took awhile but we found an empty compartment. I walk in first and take a seat, Ron sits next to me, Hermione across from me and Harry next to her. Not too long after we got settled in the train and started the journey, I grabbed the book I was reading and stuck my nose in. After a while I started to feel quite sleepy and realised I had been reading for about 2 hours. I decided to take a nap now rather than half way through Dumbledore's welcome speech.
I was woken by the noise of Hermione arguing with Harry about god knows what so I decided to go and put my robes on just to stay out of the argument. When I got back, Hermione was reading and Harry was talking to Ron, so I decided to join the conversation.
'honestly i don't think they will do it'~harry
'oh i do. they have been planning this for weeks'~ron
'really?'~harry
'Yes most of the summer actually, it's all they could talk about.' ~ron
'what are you two talking about?' ~Y/N
'fred and george are planning a big prank to do on the train.'~harry
'well that will be intersesting'~Y/N
We continued to talk about completely random and irrelevant stuff until I heard a large bang. we all jumped up and looked out at the corridor, there was a big cloud of smoke coming out of the slytherins carriage. I thought that was it so I went to sit back down but Hermione grabbed my hand and pulled me back. I looked over and saw Draco Malfoy with pink hair. He pulled out his wand;) so we all quickly retreated back into the compartment. The journey felt very quick after that and soon enough the beautiful view of the castle was just outside the window.
I looked back at my friends and thought to myself. I knew this year was going to be a good one.
