Bedlam

chapter 2

Lila's POV

12 years old ......

I need to leave this house for good i can't stand another minute , i run to my bedroom and grab my daisy rucksack of the counter and open my cupord door and chuck all my clothes in there even my converses that are too small i still have to wear i have no others shoes apart from my mothers but I'm never touching her stuff again .

An hour later i have all my stuff packed . I hear my dads footsteps along the corridor so i quickly hide the bag and get in bed acting as though I'm ready for bed . The door creaks open as i see my father standing by the door "i see your already in bed very good i will see you in the morning goodnight little princess" i shiver as i hear them words escape his cold mouth , he shuts the door and I jump out of bed , i grab my stuff and look in the mirror once more as i see my bruised bleeding face but it will heal soon i hope . 

I turn off the reaming lights in my bedroom and say goodbye to my old life i will leave behind a life that has left me nothing but misery and sadness .

i jump out of my window and climb down the tree . As my shoes hit the grass i know its now or never , i see my local bus that will take me to a nearest hotel so i quickly start running for the bus i finally make it in time and sit on the bottom deck I'm scared of the night and what my future holds but i know it all be okay .

i get off nearest to a travelodge which is a few miles up but i realise its december the coldest month in london so i grab my hoodie from my bag and put it on hoping for warmth . Until i realise I'm tired and cold and i still have miles away to get to a hotel i gradually push myself to walk more but out of nowhere a black Suv pulls up alongside me . I suddenly become faint but a pair of strong hands catch me as i drift off to sleep .
