There was war for 50 long years. Millions died trying to stop something humanity created. The human population was only killing themselves.
Chaos and unbalanced filled the entire world. When it was all over the survivors still faced absolute hell. People killed for land, money and power. Families turned against families. Brother turned against brother. So when the government finally had enough money through technically robbing the people through extremely high taxes they made The Trials.
The rules are simple but it's easier said then done. Survive. That's the first rule. The second rule is try not to rely on anyone the second you do they'll either back-stab you or die.
The third and final rule is to be aware of everything you do in The Trials, for everything has a cause and thus creating the effect.
