Daniella's pov
Three days.
That's how many days until my birthday. Well Dan and my birthday. I don't want this day to come. Ever since number 13 all my birthdays have been one word.
Horrible.
I'm freaking out. I'm turning 23. I can't believe I'll be 23. Wow. Time flies. I hear a knock on the door. I open it and see Dan standing in the doorway.
"What do you want?" I ask.
"Can't I just come over I say hi?" he asks.
I sigh and let him in.
"What's your problem?" he asks.
"Our birthday is in three days." I say.
"Why is that a problem?" he asks.
"Because all my birthdays have been horrible after number 13." I say.
He hugs me.
"I'm sorry." he says.
I push him away.
"It's not your fault! I just have bad luck." I say.
"Look Daniella we were kids! How can you still be holding a grudge for so long?" he asks.
Anger boils up in me.
"I don't know. I'm just that type of person I guess." I say.
Try to stay calm Daniella. I take a deep breath.
"Look I'm sorry. Wouldn't you be mad if Phil told you that though?" I ask.
"Yeah." he says with no hesitation.
"See what I mean?" I say.
"Yeah I guess. Look I've been a real jerk. I'm sorry." he says.
"I've been a jerk too. I'm sorry." I say.
We hug. I guess we're good now.
