Baji Keisuke

Do you believe in ghosts? if not, then let me tell you a story of a ghost who loved but chose to let go.

"Oi, Baji!" Baji Keisuke flinched as he heard a familiar voice screaming his name.
"ano 'yun? ang ingay mo." he said getting irritated.

"Eh kasi naman, kanina ka pa tinatawag eh, tsaka bakit ba ang taray mo ngayon?" Mikey, his friend, asked. "ah alam ko na." Mikey said looking at Y/N who's talking to their classmates.

"Mikey, may bubugbugin tayo mamaya." saad ni Baji na agad naman tinawanan ng kaniyang kaibigan.

"Nasisiraan ka na ata, Baji? hindi ba't classroom president niyo si Y/N at yung kasama niya ay Vice president? bakit ka nagseselos eh diba may gagawin kayo para sa teacher's day?" said Mikey.

"Ah basta! ayoko kung gaano sila kalapit sa isa't isa. puwede naman kasing ako nalang ang bise presidente!" sigaw ni Baji, dahilan upang mapatingin ang mga kaklase niya sa kaniya.

"puwede naman kasing ako nalang ang bise presidente!"
napalingon ako nang marinig ko ang sigaw ni Baji napansin kong lumingon din ang iba pa naming kaklase kay Baji.

"Mukhang may susuyuin si Ms. president ngayon ah?" saad ng bise presidente namin sa klase.

"oh siya, lunch na naman eh. kain na muna kayo ng bebe Baji mo, baka mamaya ako pa mayari diyan." saad nito at natatawang umalis. "mamaya nalang pres!" sigaw nito bago mawala sa paningin ko.

nilapitan ko si Baji na ngayo'y namumula at ang kaniyang kaibigan na tawa nang tawa.

"hey babe." I said winking at him.

"Hi Y/N-chin" saad ni Mikey.

"Hi Mikey-chan, kumain na kayo? kain tayo." saad ko. hindi ko na inantay ang sagot nila at lumabas na ako, alam ko namang susunod sila.

natigilan ako sa paglalakad nang may humawak sa braso ko at hinatak ako.

"Sa akin ka lang ha? hindi ka pwede mapunta sa iba. hindi sa wala akong tiwala sa 'yo pero Y/N, wala akong tiwala sa mga taong nasa paligid mo. kaya pasensiya na kung madalas ako magselos. ayoko lang nakikita na masaya ka sa piling ng iba." saad ni Baji.

napangiti ako sa narinig ko at yinakap si Baji.
alam ko naman na may tiwala siya sa akin at ganun din ako sa kaniya.

"Ano ka ba, siyempre iyo lang ako para namang may iba pang Baji Keisuke sa mundo." saad ko dahilan ng pagtawa niya.

"Halika na, nagugutom na ako."

nagulat kami pareho ng may nagsalita.

"Oh? 'wag niyong sabihin na nakalimutan niyo ako?" saad ni Mikey.

"pasensiya na Mikey, ito kasing kaibigan mo eh."

"sanay na ako diyan pero sana naman 'wag niyong kalimutan na may kasama kayo. nakakagutom kaya. ang tamis niyo pa sa harapan ko para kayong candy sana langgamin kayo hanggang mamaya."

the three of us laughed.

that was a good memory, yeah?

lately, Baji became cold and distant. he's always mad at me for some reasons.
we always fight and we're not the same anymore. Baji changed.

today's our 3rd anniversary. I'm planning on surprising him. I was about to enter a market when I saw Baji.

"Y/N, let's talk." he said as he look straight at me. "yeah, sure. what are we gonna talk about?" I asked getting nervous. he looks so serious.

"let's break up."

those words shattered me into pieces. but why? why now?

"huh? what do you mean, Baji? is this some kind of a prank?" I asked. no, it's gotta be one of his pranks.

"No, it's not a prank. I don't love you anymore. Good bye, Y/N. I hope to not see you again." Baji said leaving me behind.

but what about his promises? what about getting married? I thought he loved me and he always will?

maybe they are right. maybe we gotta let go of somebody we loved the most because people are meant to leave.

what do you mean by Goodbye, dumbass? there's no good in byes. I'll cherish our memories together, Baji. please take care of yourself, you dumbass.

Baji's POV

"Huh? what do you mean, Baji? is this some kind of a prank?" I wish it is but it's not. I'm so sorry for this, Y/N.

"No, it's not a prank. I don't love you anymore. Goodbye, Y/N." I said as I walk away, leaving her behind.

para sa 'yo ito Y/N. gusto man kita yakapin at gustuhin ko man humingi ng tawad, kailangan kong gawin ito. hindi ako sigurado kung makakaligtas ako bukas.

what do I mean by Goodbye? there's never good in byes but we have so many good memories together and I'll cherish it as we part ways. please, forget about me.

"Chifuyu, can you do me a favor?" I asked Chifuyu who's now hugging me.
"Can you tell Y/N that she's beautiful and I love her so much? she deserves the universe, Chifuyu. and I can't give it to her. please, tell her that I love her and.. I'm sorry."

"Baji-san!" I heard Chifuyu, shouting my name. all I can think about is Y/N. he deserves the universe. she doesn't deserve this.

I'm so sorry, Y/N. please, live your life to the fullest.

"Chifuyu? what is it you want to talk about?" Y/N asked Chifuyu.

"Y/N-san, Baji-san is.. Baji-san is Dead." Chifuyu said, crying.

"w-what? what do you mean? Chifuyu, this is a bad joke. please stop joking like that." Y/N said. her voice cracked. I wish I could hug her.

"Y/N-san, I wish this is just a joke but.. this isn't. Baji-san died and he asked me to tell you that.."

I watched them cry. I wish that I could turn back time. sana yinakap ko na siya kung iyon na ang huli.

months have passed and I continued to watch over Y/N. I can't let her go. hindi ako matatahimik hangga't hindi siya nagiging masaya.

but I think she already found her the one.

as I watch her kiss the man I'm jealous of back in high school. yeah, he's our vice president.
