Tanjiro woke up panting for breath, his eyes were wild with fear. He felt like he couldn't breath and he scratched at his neck to try and let some air in, but to no avail. He heard a door open and footsteps coming closer, that made Tanjiro panic even more because he thought it was him coming for him again. Tanjiro felt strong but warm hands on his shoulder and he looked up, his eyes blurry with fresh tears. He felt like he knew the man who was in front of him but he was panicking too much to remember and he couldn't form proper sentences. "It's OK, Tanjiro it's just me. Your safe now." The man said, pulling the younger boy into a gentle but secure hug. After the man spoke, Tanjiro realised that it wasn't him, it was the flame hashira Rengoku. Tanjiro gratefully leaned into the hug, sobbing into the older mans chest. Rengoku gently ran his fingers through Tanjiro's burgundy hair and whispered soothing words to him. After a while, Tanjiro's sobs quietened down but his eyes were still full of tears. Rengoku pulled away from Tanjiro and used the top of his thumb to gently wipe the star tears from his eyes. Rengoku smiled warmly at Tanjiro to reassure him, Tanjiro tried to smile back but it didn't work. "It's OK Tanjiro, no need to force yourself to smile right now. You can smiled when your ready." Rengoku said, he didn't want to force Tanjiro to do anything that he's not ready for. Tanjiro nodded, not wanting to talk. Rengoku opened his arms for another hug and Tanjiro accepted, leaning into Rengoku's arms once again. Tanjiro was lulled to sleep by Rengoku's soft breathing, Rengoku gently placed Tanjiro back in bed and tucked him in. Rengoku then got a spare futon and laid down to sleep, not wanting to leave Tanjiro in case he had another nightmare.

I have no idea what to do for the next chapter of 'the little brother of demons' I'm halfway finished with the next chapter of 'pretty little boy' but I'm not sure when it will be out, hopefully sometime next week and as for 'little Mirabel' I know what I'm going to do for the next chapter but I'm just struggling to get my thoughts to screen so please try to be patient and if you have any suggestions about what I could do for the next chapter of 'the little brother of demons' then feel free to DM me, that's all for now.
