CHAPTER FOURRINDOU HAITANI
“Why do you love Giselle so much?” I ask Seya who's starting to put on her pointe shoes.
We were on the rooftop together. She was busy practicing ballet, next week she'll start to have her ballet lessons, again. I think that's a hassle though, she's a good dancer, so why bother practicing, right?
“I can actually see myself on her.” she calmly stated and heave a deep sigh.
I was just sitting in a not-so-good stool in the corner while staring at her. She can see herself at Giselle? Is she a maid, or something?
“Why? Are you also a maid before?” I curiously ask.
She turned around and didn't answer. Instead she gave me the signal to play the music on her cassette player, which I immediately oblige.
She started dancing again in front of me. Beautifully, dramatically, and crazy. Her turns were also perfect. It was as if she was born to become a prima ballerina on the future.
When the act 1 ended, she slowly walked towards me using her stick. I hurriedly ran towards her and grab her arms to support her. I made her sit in a stool and handed her a bottle of water.
“Giselle was a trusting peasant maid of the philander Count Albrecht. Giselle has a weak heart and still she danced like crazy. That was one of the philander's reason on why he loves Giselle.” Seya mumbled to herself after drinking on the water bottle.
I sighed and kneeled in front of her. Though, she can't see me, still I know that she can feel me on her knees.
“Are you perhaps kneeling in front of me?” she slowly asked.
“Yes.” I answered gradually.
She felt silent for a second so I use that opportunity to caress her cheek. I felt her stiffen for a moment but later on, she remains calm.
“What are you doing, Rindou?”
Damn, her voice again! Why does she need to be so calm all the time? Don't she know how to be violent sometimes? Dang, this is so frustrating.
“Giselle is a romantic tale of innocent love and betrayal, right? Who do you think among them was the traitor?” I ask still gently caressing her face. It was so fucking soft, all I can do was to stop myself from the urge of not biting her cheek.
“Who do you think?”
“A question mustn't be answered with another question, Seya.”
She sighed and gently slap my hand that was still on her cheek. “I can't answer that, Rindou.”
“And why is that? I'm not Count Albrecht, even if it's him, I can't betray you.”
“I didn't said a thing, Rindou. It was just you who's been paranoid. You're claiming stands and wrong beliefs.”
“What the hell?” I mumbled to myself and messed my hair. I click the insides of my cheeks and scoff while staring at her. “Whoever among the two of them is the traitor, I don't give a fuck anymore, just fucking stay with me, okay? You can do that, right?” I desperately asked her.
For a moment, I felt like my whole world stop when I saw her shook her head. My lips parted because of shock. I scoffed and laugh hard. Fuck! I am Rindou and no one ever dared to turn down on me! And yet, she? A blind girl who can't even protect herself will be the exception?! No fucking way!
