My Boy

Suprise

My loving husband Daniel and I came back from shopping. He of course opened the door for me. I gave him a smile and ran upstairs to put the bags away.

I came back down stairs and he was in the kitchen. I sat on the comfy turquoise couch and looked around then put my hand on my huge belly. I thought what it was going to be like when the baby came.

Daniel came in and sat next to me. He put his arm around me and looked down at me. He turned the tv on and I just lay my head on his shoulder.

I just sat there thinking. Then I decided to get something to eat and when I opened the fridge something wet came out of me.

"Daniel" I yelled in fear and he came in and helped me up. He didn't seem as worried as me. I just looked at him for help.

"Come on" he said supporting my weight. Daniel brought me to the car and started the engine and zoomed off.

I tried to steady my breathing. When we finally got there Daniel yelled for help. A nurse came out with a wheelchair and hurried us to a delivery room.

The nurse called for a doctor and someone else came in. I was hooked up to the equipment. They had a conversation in hushed voices. Then the doctor came over and talked to Daniel and I.

"Okay Luna we're going to need you to start pushing very soon" she said. I gripped the handles and spread my legs and pushed. Many screams later I heard the nurse say "I see a head just a couple more pushes." I gave her a nod and pushed and then baby cries were heard.

They told me he was a healthy boy and wrapped a blanket around him and handed him to me. A tear rolled down my cheek and I handed him to Daniel.

Daniel looked at him and I said "how about we name him Jason?" He gave me a nod then handed Jason back to the nurse.

The nurse took Jason to another room and talked to Daniel and I. He told me I needed to sleep then took Daniel to discuss some other things.

I just closed my eyes and smiled and fell into a deep sleep.
