"Can I stay with you for the night?", I clutched the strap of my back pack. I hated asking for help especially from Peter Lee, but he himself knew about our society and why we had to be careful.. but he also disliked me for something that had happened between us years ago which is another story for another day... unless he decides to bring it up.

"Dude, it's annoying .. you've been on the run for months now have you not caught who ever is after you?", he moved to the side letting me come inside his apartment... so Peter did have heart?

I look around and notice there's no sign of any other person but him. "My girlfriend isn't here.. she left an hour ago"

"I'm sorry to trouble you Peter.. especially when whoever is after me could put others I'm around in danger but I haven't had a good night's sleep in months and I'm desperate..I just thought they'd forget all about me especially since my face looks nothing like my original face"

I take a seat on the sofa and Peter takes at seat on the other side of me. He looks over at me and scans me over. "Look dude you may have a different face to humans but to us creatures you still look like the same old Dylan Wang that toyed with my cousin's heart!"

I knew he'd bring it up.. it's not Peter Lee if he doesn't bring it up for the millionth time. I stand corrected he doesn't have a heart... he has a rock for a heart.

"Come on Donghyuk I didn't do anything and you know that , I did with any real man would do.. I told her I didn't have feelings for her a let her use my robe to cover herself up.. nothing happened "

Peter's eyes widen... "Alright man I believe you.. and it's not Donghyuk anymore that was in the past eww!", he hit my arm.

"Damn bro you have-" .. I stop talking when I realized Peter had a point. From what he had said earlier. Only creatures of our kind saw our real faces. So it meant whoever was after me was like us!

"Don't let it get to your head but Peter Lee you're a genius!"

He rolls his eyes. "It's been like ten years since you've just meet me and you just realized it" oh no..his ego has been inflated even more now.

"You can stay in the guest room for as long as you need by the way", he kindly offered which I was shocked because Peter was hardly ever kind especially because of what he had gone through when he was still human..

"Wow thanks Peter", I thank him and he grunts. "My God dude I have heart you know.. and besides I can hear your thoughts it's part of my powers remember?"

Oh damn. "Didn't you promise not to tune into my thoughts anymore ?"

"I did promise but I was curious what your thoughts were in me letting you stay here, since everyone around me seems to think I don't have heart and I do not have a rock for a heart you son of a bitch"

"Peter one last question before you go to sleep.. what's Belle been up to these days?"

Peter sighed and shakes his head. "Dylan that girl is living in a nightmare.. since you're supposed death"
