"Shit, sorry." Jennie said as she ran into a firm body. She had been uncharacteristically late for class and in her rush had not been paying attention to her surroundings as she rushed to get there on time. She immediately ducked her head when she saw who exactly it was she ran into.

"Are you okay?" Soft, concerned doe eyes looked at her as equally soft hands held Jennie steady, preventing her from tumbling down from the impact.

"Yes. I um, I'm sorry again. I gotta go." Jennie said, avoiding those pretty big eyes and practically running from the girl she'd been crushing on all year.

"Hey, wait, you dropped this." Lisa said as she noticed some kind of book on the floor, picking it up. It was black and leather and the pages on the end were frayed. The cover was engraved with pretty designs.

Lisa tried to catch the shorter girl but those short legs were deceivingly fast because she ran away so quick that Lisa immediately lost her in the crowd of students.

Lisa was hanging out in her dorm room with her best friend Rosie after class. They had gotten really close after they both kept bumping into each other in the music department of their college late at night.

They both always seemed to be the last ones to leave. Rosie always stayed late writing her songs and Lisa also had a habit of practicing her dance routines late into the night so they always saw each other.

Eventually they struck up a conversation as they were both leaving the building at the same time one night and had immediately hit it off. They've been best friends ever since.

"Since when do you keep a diary?"

"Huh?" Lisa said confused from her spot on the bed where she was punching the air to the music that Rosie was playing from Lisa's speaker. Some group named Blackpink, Lisa thought Rosie had said they were called. She wasn't sure, but Lisa really liked them.

Rosie waved the leather bound book in her hand that had been sitting on Lisa's desk.

"Oh, no thats not mine." Lisa blushed.

"Why are you blushing then." Rosie teased.

"It's not, I swear." Lisa got up and tried to grab it but Rosie dodged her, teasing her. "Rosie put it back."

Rosie giggled as Lisa chased her around the room trying to take the book back. She almost succeeded, she caught Rosie but in her struggle to grab the book, she made Rosie drop it and it landed on the floor opened to a random page.

Rosie hadn't actually planned to read it. She respected Lisa and had just wanted to tease her but as she glanced down to pick it up she saw Lisa's name written on the page and couldn't help but tease her even more.

"Right, it's not your diary though." She laughed again.

"It's not!"

"Then why is your name written in it." The blonde pointed in a fit of giggles.

Lisa was so confused that she actually glanced down to were Rosie was pointing.

Dear Lisa

Lisa's heart started hammering in her chest.

"Rosie, it really isn't mine. It belongs to Jennie. She dropped it this morning and I haven't run into her since so I haven't been able to give it back."

Rosie's eyes widened because Lisa looked so serious when she told her that. It made her feel like Lisa was telling her the truth. Lisa was hardly ever that serious about anything, unless it came to dance.
