It had been three days since the incident in the ice cream shop. I had been so mortified that I had barely left my room. Lei had spent that first day sat outside my door trying to encourage me not just to leave my room, but to engage in a conversation. But i was so angry with her that i put my Ear pods in to avoid listening to what ever she was trying to say. I relented the following day but made it clear that any discussion on that particular boy band was off topic if she wanted us to continue to talk. Even a slight mention of having Junhees contact number had me leave the room. However despite the lack of conversation I couldn't help remove him from my mind, swayed by that hot but angry expression on his face. I swore he was controlling my mind so much that I even imagined him in the window of my daily walk not far from our apartment. But a second glance saw the window empty when I had investigated this morning. Walking much slower I saw no signs of idol life as the plain kitchen that was visible from the window, That had several House plants along the window sill.
I was just making my way to the pantry to fish out some snacks to sit on the couch to binge watch some random Netflix drama that I hadn't at yet decided to start. When Lei came in full of excitement as she threw a bag at me. I glanced at her confused as I sat down scared to look in.
"What's this," I muttered. "It's a new outfit for tonight, we're going out," she exclaimed excitedly.
"Huh," I responded confused.
"A friend invited me to a party and well I need some moral support," she pleaded. "Well why does that mean this," I asked shaking the bag. "Because I need you to be that friend," she whined making her eyes widen in a attempt to look cute which stifled a smile. "Oh thanks Risa," she shrieked confusing my smile for an agreement. "Wait I didn't agree to anything," I shot. She threw herself next to me on the couch. "But please it's full of new people, new people I don't know and it's important I attend..... for me please," she pleaded. I rolled my eyes "but why me you have other friends," I moaned. "But not as good as you and I have a feeling you might need it just as much as I do," she whined. "Please," she added before I could reply. I looked at her really sorrowful face and I couldn't help but be their for my friend in her moment of need. Without speaking a word i clutched the bag and stood up. "Thanks," lei shrieked in excitement.
A quick glance in the mirror of the bedroom as I rubbed my hands down my waist to straighten the blue knee length dress Lei had brought me. Lei wasn't very good at clothes shopping but I had to admit she had done well.
We laughed and joked as we walked towards the party that she informed me wasn't far from our house, deep in conversation about Her sister who was getting married. We was in such a deep conversation that I hadn't realise that we was at the apparent location, as she took my arm to face the apartment. As we waited for entrance my heart suddenly leapt out my body when I realised where we was. We was standing out side the building where I swore I had seen Lee Donghun the other day. I looked at lei who was playing with her hands in what I suddenly realised was her anxious nervous look and that this wasn't her nervous for the party, but because where she was taking me! I released my hands in the hope i was wrong when I heard him before I saw him.
Park Junhee's high pitched excitement from the apartment door. "Oh you both came," he said excitedly. But before I could rip my angry eyes from my friend, I suddenly felt a warm hand Pat my arm which took my attention to the beautiful sculptured face of Junhee. He had calmed himself down and took my eye contact as if he was calming me down. "I'm really happy you've come," he said warmly as he pulled on my arm towards the apartment that was apparently ACE's dorm. I suddenly couldn't find my voice and was inwardly grateful for lei's over excited ness that early matched Junhee's seconds ago. They chatted as we made our way to the loud noise in the living room ahead. Junhee made sure to steer me in the right direction after switching to put himself between me and lei with his arm wrapped around both of us. As we entered the living room where 15 other people was randomly drinking and chatting while Mirae Spash was being played loud, but not loud enough to coat the conversations. As Junhee and lei was talking I was taking in the people in the room with my main focus looking for Donghun. I suddenly found myself a little saddened that he wasn't here and I signed. "He isn't here yet but he will be," Junhee said squeezing my arm. I instantly looked at him red faced but embarrassed that he could read my mind and then mortified at remembering the other days events. "Who's that," I asked trying to sound as if I couldn't care less about his band member. Junhee dropped his arm from my shoulder and looked at me frowning "he really didn't mean to scorn you you know," he said above the noise. "That day was just a bad day that was all, he's not normally like that," he added.
