Meanwhile in a different location, the moon has risen over the cityscape after the sun went to rest it's head for the night.
Clouds joined in to keep it company, creating a stormy ruckus to keep it awake.
Our protagonists find themselves taking cover in a building which was long due for a visit... Or at least that's what they thought.
It was near impossible to see three feet in front of them when there wasn't a strike of lightning to brighten up the room, leaving the two on edge
"I don't know about this place, Pico..." Benjamin said due to fear about the place their in.
"Well you got a better place to hide?" Pico asked.
"...No." Ben replied.
"But an abandoned mansion? It's scary, it's unsettling..."
"It's... It's..." He starting to lose his train of thought at this rate, until they heard 2 new voices from the distance.
"It's-a spooky." The voices cheered in joy.
"Yeah, exactly, you took the words right from my mouth, Pico!" Ben smiled at Pico, feeling at ease.
Pico just looked at Benjamin in confusion at what he said.
"Um... Bb... That wasn't me." He replied.
"H-Huh?! If it wasn't you who said it... Then who?" Benjamin asked, starting to get scared again.
"Hi misters!" The voices said. At first glance they looked like creepy skeleton and pumpkin creatures.
When Benjamin and Pico saw the new strangers, Benjamin made a scared "Beep!" sound and hids behind Pico, shaking in fear and covering his face with his arms.
Pico looked at his scared boyfriend and rubbed his head, trying to comfort him.
"Relax, it's just a couple of kids." Pico reassured.
They looked back at the strangers, who we're actually just kids in a cute, Halloween costume.
"What the heck are you two doing here?" Pico asked. (Sorry I'm not comfortable with swearing)
"I am Skid and this is Pump." The skeleton kid introduced himself as "Skid" and pointed at the pumpkin who claims the name "Pump."
"We are doing the spooky things during the spooky month!"
"Spooky month- It's November. Isn't it a bit late-" Pico asked, until Ben interrupted him, while putting a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him.
"Hush. Let them be." He said.
"Hey, wait, you look familiar!" Said Pump and looked at Benjamin.
"O-Oh?" Ben said, nervous that they'll tell everyone about that they saw him and Pico.
"Yeah Yeah! Your dad is super famous." Skid cheered.
"Also we've seen your faces on posters all over town." Pump added.
Benjamin went quiet and looked even more nervous. Pico also looked a bit nervous, but is nervous for his boyfriend.
"My mom has tapes of Mr. Fairest singing!" Said Skid.
"We watch them all the time." Said Pump.
"W-Well... I'm glad you boys and your mom appreciate what my dad does." Said Benjamin with a fake smile.
