my second ever short story just because, so enjoy, and again please feel free to give constructive criticism. - lordunknown12

There I was, standing in the chaos I had just made. The city I had so much hate for was finally burned to ashes. And you know what was most rewarding part? I caused it.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, for once, the villain is the main character. For once, the villain had won. For once, the villain had met his glory days.

It was 5 in the morning; I had just destroyed my home city on New Earth. The fires licking every building in sight. The black smoke creating toxic fumes to intoxicate me into euphoria. Was I insane?

As insane as anyone could be. But that's how I liked it.

I was about to go to my dwelling but as soon as I turned around, I faced my worst enemy. I wasn't fazed though. The deed was done. So, I said "What do you want Xander."

"Nothing Will, I just want to talk." Xander replied.

"Oh, please Xander, we both know you are here to kill me." I stated, smiling maniacally.

Xander faltered.

"Oh, dear Brother, you were never really the best liar. I know you've been sent to kill me by your group of heroes." I continued and yes, Xander is my big brother.

"Yes. Yes, I was sent to kill you Will, but I won't. I just wanted to talk." He said carefully.

I put up my hand towards him, telling him to say what he wanted.

"Look, I know you and I never saw things eye to eye." He started.

I scoffed.

"Well, I just wanted to say, I know what you are feeling, I- "Xander continued before I cut him off.

"No, NO YOU DON'T. YOU WERE NEVER BULLIED. YOU WERE NEVER TREATED AS A GERM. YOU WILL NEVER FELL WHAT I HAVE FELT." I yelled.

"I haven't but I want to help you. I know you Will, you are not this. You were a bright kid." Xander replied.

"W-well its too late, look what I've done. I can't undo this." I said, my eyes filling with remorse.

"No. It's never too late. Join me." Xander reasoned.

Just before I could say anything I heard "THERE HE IS." And then a BANG followed it. I felt a huge force push me to the ground. I looked down to see that I was shot.

Xander ran up to me and tried to heal me.

"Don't bother brother. This is my repayment. I deserve to die for the deeds I have done. Let me die." I said to my older brother, my breathing slowing drastically.

Xander silently cried.

"Xander, promise me one thing." I asked.

My brother nodded and said "W-what"

"There are many people like me brother. Who just want someone to cry on? Help them please. Show them that there is always hope for redemption. Show them, that they should deserve a second chance." I spoke until I finally drifted into endless sleep hoping for a better future for more people like me.

"Second chances don't always mean a happy ending. Sometimes, it's just another shot to end things right."
