New friends

Barrett was on the balcony with his guitar while Darius was telling a scary story, or trying to with everyone constantly interrupting him.

He then looked over at Yasmina who was drawing something but when she looked down she blushed a bit and turned the page.

He had a feeling that he had something to do with it.

So he jumped down and went over to talk to her.

"Hey." Barrett says in a quiet voice.

"Hey." Yasmina responds in the same tone.

"If you don't wanna have a long chat that's fine, but I gotta ask you something, if that's alright with you?" Barrett asks.

"Sure, if it's nothing personal." Yasmina says.

"The blushing part is that something I did." Barrett says taking Yasmina aback.

"Uh no it's just I messed up on something that's all, and it took my a long time to do it." Yasmina says, he sensed bullshit but decided not to question it.

"Okay, so it's a beautiful night." Barrett says while looking at the stars.

"Yea, say can I ask you a question?" Yasmina asks.

"Shoot." Barrett says looking at Yasmina.

"Do you like to be the center of attention." Yasmina says taking Barrett by surprise.

"No, in all honesty, I hate it, I try to impress my dad since he doesn't even do anything except to know about my hockey thing, and he pays more attention to my younger brother and older sister, I sometimes feel like a ghost." Barrett says as he looks down.

"Hey that's something to be proud of." Yasmina says as Barrett chuckles.

Yasmina then looks at Barrett's guitar.

"You play?" Yasmina asks as Barrett looks at his guitar then at Yasmina and smiled.

"What kind?" Yasmina asks.

"Any that can uses the guitar, haha, no some sea shanties and some country ones too, and a slow one called Farewell." Barrett says.

"Can I hear the Farewell?" Yasmina asks as Barrett smiles and grabs his guitar and began to play his guitar, interrupting Darius, but they were surprised at how good he was.

"Oh wait, Barrett can you restart, memory is full." Brooklyn says as it started raining.

Everyone began to head inside except for Darius and Barrett.

"You alright D?" Barrett asks.

"I'm fine." Darius answers.

"I smell bs dude." Barrett says as Darius sighs.

"It's Brooklyn, just why is she on her phone all the time?" Darius asks.

"The same reason that you know every dinosaur fact, for attention." Barrett says as he walks in.

" *sigh* Thanks." Darius says as he heads in too.

Barrett was going for a energy bar when Sammy appeared.

"Hey Barrett." Sammy says scaring Barrett.

"Gah Sammy, you scared the shit out of me." Barrett says.

"Look I think Yasmina needs a friend." Sammy says.

"What?" Barrett asks confused as Sammy just grabs his arm and they head over to Yasmina on the couch.

"Damn rain soaked my notes." Yasmina says.
