Chapter 2 - Michael

He had been thinking about him all day, whenever he saw Andrew in the halls he couldn't take his eyes off him.
Michael was head over heels for his best friend, wishing that they could be more.

As Michael was on his way to science, he imagined a possible future with Andrew. With a loving family perhaps.
Soon after he realized he was late and had to quickly make his way to the class, as he swiftly went through the halls he bumped into Andrew, who too was late.

They laugh it off and go to science. Ms. O'Sullivan asked them for a pass and Michael looked at Andrew, nervous about getting in trouble. Andrew pulls a pass out of his pocket and says, "Here, the pass is for both of us." As he hands the pass to Ms. O'Sullivan.
She smiles and tells the two to go sit down, Michael blushes at how much Andrew cared about him not getting in trouble, although it was a simple gesture, it meant a lot coming from someone like him.

The two walk over to the desk and sit down. Kipper jokes with Andrew about the song he always is humming and how it sounds awfully odd with a simple word change. Michael grows jealous seeing them have such fun but, he stays quiet.

As class goes on, Andrew catches Michael gazing at him many times. Michael starts to believe Andrew thinks he's being weird but little does Michael know, Andrews just been gazing at him lovingly as well.

Nearing the end of class Michael notices Andrew looking at him with a odd look in his eyes, he asks Andrew what's up and he looks away embarrassedly. Michael wants to ask him why he looks so embarrassed but just then the bell rings for them to leave.
As Andrew walks out the door Michael stops him, Andrew looks back confused while Michael blushes from embarrassment. Realizing he doesn't know what to say, he takes a deep breath and is able to mumble, "w-would you want to hang out this weekend..?" Andrew smiles, and nods his head.

As Andrew leaves to go onto his bus a wide smile grows across Michaels blushing face imagining extra time with Andrew. He leaves the classroom happy- but not for long.

Isaiah stops Michael in the hallway, exclaiming "listen Michael. I know you think you and Andrew are the best of friends and that you're his number one but listen here. He's mine, you're just a small obstacle in the way." Leaving Michael there stunned, Isaiah walked off to his bus.

Michael kept thinking about Isaiah's comment the rest of the day, through dinner, even going to bed. It haunted him, he barely could sleep that night but after a long while. Michael could finally get some rest, and he dreamt about the long ahead future with Andrew, even though for a while, Isaiah will stay in the way.
